Hi Dee

The loading ramps..

Another very evocative image, with the dry bleached timber.  A very graphic and stark image, with some nice geometry; very powerful.  The toning is what brings me back to look again (and again), the hint of blue works so well...who'd thought?

This subject would work well in Monochrome too...I'm sure it was a bit of a struggle deciding when you were processing the file. Again "Loading Ramps" through Australia would be another theme for a travelling photographer, like "Gates and Letterboxes."

And by the way, your White Gums, are they Snow Gums??

I've become quite addicted to these pages...

Some very familiar locations in amongst these landscapes. I shall unearth some images to contribute. I haven't shot much landscape stuff for a while.

This is at Wilpena Pound in South Australia. Facing opposite the sunrise. There's a selfie in there too!

I'd been waiting for you to raise your head here Geoff. Thanks for joining in!

This links to a stitched panorama. The file is about 1.5MB so too large to include within the post.

Some other really nice lanscapes there Geoff. Why not pick your favourites to post directly into the thread?

going back a number of years here. BW conversion, M8 and Summicron M 28 ASPH. I must have actually geotagged the image on Google at some point. This is north of the Sunshine Coast up towards Hervey Bay in QLD.

As it really was (at a family holiday). They didn't catch much in that estuary though!

Really beautiful photo Geoff. Those stark gnarled white tree trunks always look fantastic in B&W

Hi Dave,

The  White Gums are (I think) young Ribbony Gums, still too young to have fully developed their signature ribbons of bark.

Here is a Snow Gum for you.

Mark,

Some trivia; this is the very last photo taken with the Noctilux 0.95 before sending it on it's way.
