apertur Posted August 10, 2015 Share #41  Posted August 10, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) raven and ryker by unoh7, on Flickr  Wotancraft Raven and Ryker  2 bodies in the smaller one  Raven 2 Bodies by unoh7, on Flickr  These are much cheaper than most of the really high end bags, and hold their value extremely well, as few are made. Quality is off the hook, and lining is microfibre. Zippers are guarded. The bigger one has a iPad pouch too, and a good sized external pocket: DSC02872 by unoh7, on Flickr  Basically my daily man bag, as it will hold lots and is very tough. I think the little one is 275 and the big one is 375 USD. The little one is 671 grams without strap, big one 1206. Nothing ever comes out if they are closed, even when bag rolls off passenger seat and is now upside down on floorboard,as you race to shoot. Weather stays out, and protection is substantial. apertur Posted August 10, 2015 Share #42 Â Posted August 10, 2015 Hi, I am afraid of the strong magnets that hold the flap. They are big and quite strong, am thinking of the shutter mechanism or the electronics. Any thoughts?

bocaburger Posted August 11, 2015 Share #44  Posted August 11, 2015 Leica's own full case has top and back flaps that are secured with magnets. I doubt they would do that if it were harmful. I have one on each of my M240's and so far no ill effects I can tell.  I once had a cellphone holster with a magnet that used to wake the phone from sleep mode and drain the battery. It was a long time ago, but I suppose it has to to with the placement and especially strength of the magnets. thighslapper Posted August 13, 2015 Share #48  Posted August 13, 2015 This is what you can get in the 'larger ' of the two Dothebags I have ........ in a few configurations   Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!             The 'smaller' Dothebag .... which is narrower and a bit less high I use for a T+M lens on adapter, Leica body with lens and a spare lens plus a fair bit of the junk shown above. Both are nicely re-configurable and comfortable to carry as they are quite soft .... and don't shout 'camera !'  which is handy .....
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!             The 'smaller' Dothebag .... which is narrower and a bit less high I use for a T+M lens on adapter, Leica body with lens and a spare lens plus a fair bit of the junk shown above. ramosa Posted August 13, 2015 Share #49 Â Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) I replaced the noisy Velcro on my Domke F5XB with two rare earth magnets a couple of years ago. I've never noticed any problem with my M9 or M240.You can also just put a piece of the reverse Velcro over the bag's Velcro. I have done that on my F-8. That, plus snipping away the Domke promotional "tags," and you're ready to go. Edited August 13, 2015 by ramosa

markdavisleica Posted August 14, 2015 Share #52 Â Posted August 14, 2015 The Wotankraft Ryker is the best camera bag that I have used for a small Leica set up. It is beautifully made, practical and not too heavy for leather. Taiwan is now thriving as a centre for traditional hand-made leather goods and the people at Wotankraft are a great example of that. They are also very friendly and efficient.
charby57 Posted August 14, 2015 Share #53  Posted August 14, 2015 After many years using the Dome satchel bag, I have switched 6 years ago to a Artisan & Artist. As tough and confortable on the shoulder as the Domke but much lighter and with more effective padding. Made in Japan, it is not cheap.  The discreet matt black finish is a bonus. algrove Posted August 14, 2015 Share #55 Â Posted August 14, 2015 Has anyone on here got a fast and prime bag? they look awesome but the price.... Â Why not get the Domke bag made for Leioa. Iy has all the room you need and is small and easy to carry, but it is not leather as you specify. Are you sure you need leather?

jbl Posted August 15, 2015 Share #59 Â Posted August 15, 2015 Checkout Luigi's Leicatime custom outfit case. I have his standard and it's great. It will definitely a camera with lens and a Noctilux on the side. He specifically built it that way. The default configuration for the internal divider leaves exactly enough room on one side to hold an M and a 50mm Summilux.
jbl Posted August 15, 2015 Share #60 Â Posted August 15, 2015 I follow Adam's site now and then (and like it a lot), but somehow missed this bag and his input in its design. It looks pretty cool. Anyone seen or used one? Not cheap, of course. I have both of them and they're nice bags. For my taste, the larger bag is more useful, but I'm happy I have them both.
