Laura, framed in shadow and light, draped in the deep hues of the night. The MGA Twin Cam sets the perfect scene—sleek, timeless, and full of character. This shoot was all about contrast: the glow of red against the dark, the sharpness of reflections, and the mystery in her gaze.

Captured with the Leica S3 and Summicron-S 100mm f2, using multiple Harlowe Creators LED

lights to sculpt the mood.

Thank you for sharing this image. It is both an excellent photograph and a tug on the emotions as I am an MG enthusiast (lifelong) and I miss every one I ever owned. The Twin Cam MGA, is one I missed owning but this one in red with the white racing stripe must be immaculate. Great car, great model, great Camera and lens, and great photographer!😊

Why is it that I find images made with the S cameras, especially the S 2 often so restful on the eye?  Is it that, having spent so much money on camera and lens, only people who really know what they are doing use them and post here, or does the camera have something fundamental to do with it. Such a high proportion of images on this thread have such beautiful colours.  (Composition is usually superb too.)

I think it's a bit of both. To spend that much on a camera (especially if purchased new) one is pretty committed to their art and probably pretty far along in their respective career thus a bit more "mature" reflected in their compositions and subjects selections. Then the lenses and sensor work together flawlessly as each lens was designed from scratch to match this system.  I've had my S(006) for 10 years and still find joy in shooting it.

This was a 2020 image I made with the S007 and 45.  It was 24 seconds and was the image that got me motivated to move forward with coastal work.  I have some SL and S shots from 2018 and 2019 and they are good, some are great, but this is where the fun is for me - Graduated Neutral Density and ND filters.
