ramarren Posted May 3, 2016 Share #241 Posted May 3, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) While I'd enjoy using a Noctilux 50mm now and then, or a 90mm Macro, I have little to no desire to own either of them.
Advertisement Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Hi ramarren, Take a look here Which M lenses do you want to own??. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mmradman Posted November 5, 2016 Share #242 Posted November 5, 2016 I like standardising things, so taking E39 filter (for monochrome photography) as a reference I would love to add Elmarit 28 ASPH and Macro Elmar 90 to supplement my APO Summicron 50mm as lightweight travel kit otherwise have them all mostly fast 21-90 in M range. vhfreund Posted November 5, 2016 Share #243 Posted November 5, 2016 I am happy with what I have (35/50/90). I mostly use 35 and 50 mm,however sometimes I can`t decide wether to go with 35 or 50 mm. I think I love 50mm lenses. The M?? sings with 35 mm. My approach is to get acustomed to one single lens. That makes life a lot easier. Julian H Posted November 5, 2016 Share #244 Posted November 5, 2016 I am not greedy, a nice 2 lens kit of the 35AA and 50AA would do me. More likely what's acheiveable is the 35 f1.4 preFLE and 50 f1.4 (either pre or ASPH still unsure). Currently have 35 f1.4 original, 40 Nokton and 50C-Sonnar. The Nokton will go soon. Cheers, J
james.liam Posted November 5, 2016 Share #245 Posted November 5, 2016 21 SEM / ZM 35C / 50 APO Filter mix is a pain for the Monochrom (46, 43, 39). But I've never had any other lenses that perform to such a high level before so an annoyance worth putting up with.
CYBORA Posted November 5, 2016 Share #246 Posted November 5, 2016 50 LUX ASPH.
roverover Posted November 5, 2016 Share #247 Posted November 5, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been wanting a lens for Macro work with my 240. I am curious, using the current Macro Ring, are any of the 3 current 90mm M lens offerings more suitable for macro work over the others, assuming price is not an object or is there some advantage to 1 of them for macro work? pico Posted November 5, 2016 Share #248 Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) It would be interesting to see the demographics, in particular how many desire the 'new' generation of Leica lenses cross-referenced to their ages and experience. That is all that needs to be asked. I'm sure that Leica would want to know the same, if they do not already. . That is all that needs to be asked. I'm sure that Leica would want to know the same, if they do not already. . My most modern lens is quite a bit older than I am. I have no idea what that means though. I do like the older designs, but also can't justify the modern prices. I just wouldn't buy an $8000 lens.
sdk Posted November 7, 2016 Share #250 Posted November 7, 2016 Some day, the 28mm/1.4 Summilux. I love 28mm focal length and the Summilux has unique capabilities.
Mute-on Posted November 7, 2016 Share #251 Posted November 7, 2016 28 Elmarit ASPH 21 SEM 35 Summilux FLE or pre ASPH 28 Summaron v2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
john1970 Posted June 14, 2020 Share #252 Posted June 14, 2020 90 mm Summilux or the 75 mm Noctilux. I just can't fathom spending that much on a single lens.
Ray Vonn Posted June 14, 2020 Share #253 Posted June 14, 2020 Summilux 50mm, but just can't make my mind up about whether it's the version 2 pre asph or current version.
evikne Posted June 24, 2020 Share #254 Posted June 24, 2020 I own all the lenses I want to own, and I've tried all the lenses I've wanted to try except one, and that's the 50 Noctilux 0.95. I doubt I would have kept it though.
Ko.Fe. Posted June 24, 2020 Share #255 Posted June 24, 2020 Next to none now. I have tried dozen or two Leitz and Cosina made. It was interesting. But I'm not paid photog and my adventures, travels are not covered by local insurance policies. If lens is above 1K USD new, I'm out. My Summarit-M 35 2.5 was slightly above 1K USD for new. Best M lens I ever have, so I'm keeping it and use it a lot. At some point I would like to get 90/4 Elmar again and Summaron 35 3.5 for my IIIc. For no practical reason
bags27 Posted June 24, 2020 Share #256 Posted June 24, 2020 (edited) I want the 21 SEM and the 90 f/4 macro--either version, but of course v. 2 if possible. Along with a couple of M and R longs, I have the 35 FLE and just bought a nicely used 50 Lux ASPH. They are probably too close in focal range, but couldn't resist. I guess I ought to swap the FLE for the SEM and most of the 90.... Edited June 24, 2020 by bags27
