Few weeks ago i went to the Leica Store in Istanbul and saw a brand new black Leica M7 for sale. I 've asked them if it is really brand new, they told me yes, brandnew and unused. The price was very high 😞 Then i have asked for discount ………. and then…… :-))) Yes apparently it's really NEW . Congratulations Murat ! It has the serial number 4233xxx and is produced in 2016. Leica Shop Istanbul told me that this is one of the last M7 you can buy new. They have still one more M7 brandnew in the store, in silver…..

Wow very nice camera in good condition .... but Ren I'm afraid to unbalance the camera with the strap on the side , the pull is stronger on the side Best H
Doc Henry Posted December 5, 2019 Author Share #789 Posted December 5, 2019 (edited) Ren I have this grip ... one of the advantages is when I mount heavy lens on the M7 , like the Apo Summicron 90 Asph lens , I can hold well the camera in my hand. advil Posted December 23, 2019 Share #795 Posted December 23, 2019 The top plate on the shutter button side of my M7 is sliiiightly loose. I can feel it move back and forth if i hold it there. It is a 2016 model and still under warranty. Youxin said he can't fix that side because he doesn't service M7. Should I take it to Leica Store and have them send it out? Any advice is appreciated. The M7 is very new so I doubt an entire new top plate is necessary, just need to tighten some screws I think.

hektor Posted December 23, 2019 Share #799 Posted December 23, 2019 Dear Advil, Send it back to Leica. If you try to effect a repair yourself you will invalidate the warranty. Something serious may go wrong in the future whereby the M7 can only be fixed by Leica. Mine went back twice. It was replaced and the second M7 0.85 à la carte has been back once already.
hektor Posted December 23, 2019 Share #800 Posted December 23, 2019 Incidentally, I am selling my Abrahamsson Winder for the M7 as I have never used it if anyone is interested.
