Henri,

This is a wonderful thread with delightful images, an interesting journey, a real treat!

I've noticed that even your digital images have a film look that I really like. But the Portra shots are uniquely spectacular...

I love the play of light and shadows in the last one of this set. Thanks for posting these.

Sometimes very dangerous situation for us in the mountains (2500 meters here), high humidity conditions, fog coming extremely fast in a few

minutes, and we must drive very slowly.

....tryptic to show this :)

I made recently a revision of my 135 ApoTelyt by Solms , before my mission.I brought it with me.

Here is a photo taken at around 70-100 meters , and you can see perfectly the boat woman operator.

It's really a very good lens

Hello Henry,

Nice pictures, all.

In answer to your question above: I think the photo taken with Portra is a little contrastier (Snappier colors.) than the 1 taken with the M8. The M8 photo seems to be a little more pastel (Softer colors.). Pastelization also means added opacity which takes away a certain ammount of apparent sharpness. Whether or not the actual sharpness is there.

Both photos are nice . I prefer the 1 taken with Portra.

Best Regards,

Michael

Michael thank you for watching and for your choice :)

I repost the Kodak Portra 160 photo , because Tooka noticed a small strip at the top, left side (which is due to the reflection of the margin Coolscan film

holder).

In the film (and with no treatment in LR) , there is more relief and color is deeper (giant bamboo in the middle, trees, houses roof ,river water and mountain)

versus M8,
