before I change my mind 😉

And some well pressed vinyl...rather partial to the Mobile Fidelity Original master Recording pressed vinyl. I've never looked for them from RCA; impressive.

I get the "desire" for a single lens but that seems IMHO to maybe becoming a bit fetishised as a kind of "purity" and while I  personally hating changing lenses while out and about, and also subscribing to the view that with a single lens one can start to "see" in that focal length, if I'm travelling I don't want that restriction*.

The M11 is an interchangeable lens camera IMHO for reasons other than to decide which is the focal length to stick to..

I agree entirely with this.

However, I am just returning from 6 weeks, Paris, Normandy, Rome & Florence and I took one camera and one lens (30mm equivalent field of view), primarily as I have only one lens for this camera.  Not thinking about gear, and using what I had was liberating, and the lens choice was perfect for that trip.  I also developed a clear visualisation of the coverage of that lens.

But, to take your point, if I’d taken an M camera, it would definitely have been a 28 (probably the Summilux) and a 50 (also a Summilux ASPH or the APO Summicron).  I would have liked to have taken an M-A and 35 Summilux pre-asph with me, but traveling internationally with film just isn’t worth it.

I am not sure when I posted in this thread, but I can tell you that recently, I took a few times two 35s: the Summicron v5 and the CV 1.2 III ...

With time, I believe more and more than I always enjoy 100% shooting with my M10 with a  35mm... The other focal lengths are great (28 and 50), but they're not the same.

.

Hurra for 35mm

Interesting. During a multi-state road trip, with my then-teen nephew, in 2015, shortly I had acquired 14-24mm and 24-70mm “pro” zoom lenses, I used the 24-70mm for almost everything, and tended to use it at 31mm or 32mm, unless I was trying to frame my nephew, in a specific way.

I’ve been using this setup lately: M10, 28 Summaron reissue, 50 Elmar-M. If my ISO gets too high, I just use Lightroom’s Denoise feature when I get home. The whole setup is jacket-pocketable and the images look great!

I have a two week trip to Japan starting next week. Was originally going to bring VM 15mm, 35 cron pre-asph v3, and a lux 50 asph II. But I'm really trying to push myself to cut out the 50 and hopefully get by with the 35 primarily especially given how dense and compact I expect the cityscapes to be.

My usual two lens kit is the CV 35mm f1.5 Nokton and the LEICA 90mm f/2.8
TELE-ELMARIT-M but I am so smitten with my 50mm f2 Summicron-M, I am returning to my one lens kit.

I use a 50mm M-Summicron on my SL2-S. It is possibly my favourite lens in almost 50 years of taking photographs. I often pair it with a 24mm. If I still used an M, and to answer the OP, I would simply add a 28mm Elmarit. As it is, I’m with you on the 50 M-Summicron; if I had only one lens, that would be it. I think it’s one of the best lenses ever made.

24 and 50mm is a very good combination for me. I actually use the 24 f/3.8 and 50 Lux Asph on 2 M10R and this combo can face pretty much everything
