Legacy Lenses

As an addition to what Luke said—it's possible that some DX lenses will cover the full 35-mm frame. Candidates are zoom lenses in the upper part of their zoom ranges.

For example, I have an 11-18 mm APS-C wide-angle zoom (not Nikon), and it fully covers the 35-mm frame when set to 15 - 18 mm.

The Novoflex LEM/NIK adapter will happily accept both FX and DX lenses. It's solely you who's in charge to make sure the frame gets covered. If it doesn't then crop the picture appropriately at post-processing time.

And macro lenses at closer focus settings (the Canon 60 EFS covers full frame at closer than about 30cmish as an example).
