Gary, please, what is this model and for what civilian use?

Brill64, do you have a special model, because my zoom does not exceed 70mm? Very beautiful pictures .

Jacques

Jacques.

Its a Eurocopter product, "EC130T2". The company as you likely know is now "Airbus", and they have designated it "H130".

It's a privately owned "corporate" aircraft, leather seats etc. Very nice.

Interesting mixture of colour temperatures in this food shot. Is this as shot?

I used AWB in Lightroom, but the changes to the stored value in the raw-file are marginal. Here is a picture of the room to give you an impression of the many different light sources and temperatures:

James, AWB has done a good job. It usually does. If you are not familiar with this technique, try the following.

In LR Develop module, press the W key. The cursor changes to an eye dropper tool. Find an object such as the edge of your plate or white table cloth and click the tool on it. If the result is not to your liking, try elsewhere. I normally carry a small colour neutral grey card with me, but resort to the above method if I forget to use it. In your food shot you should get more accurate colour of the food, but you can refine them by tweaking the WB slider. Just get the result which pleases you.

Whatever, you probably like to keep the theatrical lighting elsewhere in the scene. I use the grey card where colour fidelity is important, such as in garden or fabric photography.

Thank your for your supportive feedback, it is much appreciated! It reminded me of my forgotten intention to buy a grey card. As I just shoot for my own pleasure, I didn't see the absolute necessity to use a grey card, but I am keen of the fact, that there are photographical situations, where the accurate reproduction of colors is a must. What do you think about this new attempt, where I tried to set the WB manually with the pipette?

@Jacques:

This was at the wedding of one of my best friends, which took place in the Marriot Hotel in Berlin (Potsdamer Platz) this year.

Thank you James for the answer, I will go on Google out of curiosity.

France is not a modern country, proof, we still have old restaurants.
