A year ago the last "One Challenge" took place in Sevilla, always a great opportunity to see some of you in person, share a good meal, a good story or two and, to photograph of course. This years challenge will not take place in Athens as planned, due to Corona. Instead, those that are interested can take part today, in the afternoon. All the details you can find here.

And below a picture from last year in Sevilla.

Such an excellent photo, well done Bo-Sixten. And also very nice to see a fellow Swede here. Hope you stick around and post more.

In these times I started to revisit my dusty old negs archive and found this Gentleman. San Francisco 1980. Leica M4, Tri X. (also posted in Leica M film forum).

Well done, a brilliant revenge. The flagpole's ball is the "dot over the I" as we would say.

For those who enjoy wine (and who is so base as to not, speak now for him have I offended!), the completely unproven theory of Rudolf Steiner is well known. He proposed 4 types of days, conforming to the zodiac:  root days, fruit days, leaf days, and flower days. Wine should be avoided on root days (not great on leaf days, either). I must have suffered a root day in photography. Everything went wrong out on the field (M4-P 50 Lux ASPH) and then managed to mess up loading my film (Fuji Acros ii) and tearing it in my dark room. In revenge, I took the remnants of leftover T-Max and Ilf3, emptied them (roughly 50-50), added water roughly 1:1 and ballparked it at 7:30. Didn't turn out too badly. Great film, crazy developer, crazier photographer.

Terrific Stefan. This one is up there with Christoph's sublime photo of the child peering through the glass wall a while back.

I always try to avoid pushing buttons and pulling levers that I don't know what they do. But perhaps I should change that. Really nice result Christoph.

The great thing about this forum is inspiration. A hundred pages back (give or take a few 🙂) one of you posted a number of wonderful B&W double exposures. I had always wondered what "that little lever" was for, on top of my Contax S2, and started to actually use it for a while. So here the first result, taken with the nice Contax Planar 1.4/50 - a worthy competitor of the Summilux 1.4/50. Soft edges and a shallow depth of field, together with the beautiful colours of Portra 160 on an overcast day...

Contax S2, 1.4/50, Portra 160

It's great to see [new saying alert! Remember you heard it here first!] a new take on an old horse. This is brilliant Phil. This picture has in and of itself furthered the field of photography in ways that millions of cats on Instagram can never do.

One more print. I'd like to make a second attempt on this one, mainly to dodge the man's head, to bring it out a little more. Photo taken in the town of Pirenópolis in Goiás, near Brasilia.

Details: Scan of 17.8x24cm Ilford MG FB print. Leica IIIf, Summicron 5cm 1:2, Ilford Delta 100, Kodak D-76. Leitz Focomat 1c, Schneider Componon-S 2.8/50, Ilford Multigrade.

Very good! I like the strong contrasts!
