Really nice Pritam, the dotted cows and the tender trees are a feast for the eye.

Pin-point focus. Impressive.

Genetics at play. Griggs came by for a visit, was my grandson's (not yet 2 years) first meeting with him. He, my grandson, showing no fear or apprehension, squealed with joy and immediately wanted to play. Griggs was up for it.  It was getting on toward the end of daylight. All I had was my Kodak Retina. Like grandfather, like grandson.

fare well

Fare well, Griggs. Bed time.

The second one will be a cracker for graduation time in a couple of decades :)

I slightly misfocused the second one with a Retina IIIc in her hands, but it's ok.

Terrific Mark. In many ways an equivalent to Priam's above, with much to look at. The cannonball man, the guy at left who seems to be emptying a bag of crisps (or is he drinking?) and the lady in the middle. And it begs the more philosophical question too of whether that cannonball actually ever came into being.

After many months I am back and would like to show you a frame from a roll of Portra, that I exposed in my M4-P while on vacation at the coast of the Baltic Sea just two weeks ago. We had some wonderful sunsets this time and I tried some long exposures.

great you're back, James. And what a re-entrance ! Did you use a ND-filter ?

Great use of that Ansco, Wayne. From the spirit the picture breathes: This camera was definitely pre-owned by J.H. Lartigue...

Re-scanned a few old negatives from Amalfi just to test the new film holder. Not bad. First is Portra 400, second and third Fuji C200. Fuji looks much cleaner (also better light conditions).

Thank you, all, for your supporting comments! It is very encouraging and I promise, I will bring some more nice exposures in the next time. My workload didn't get smaller in the last couple of months, and there were few opportunities to take pictures, so I was happy to get some good results :)

To answer Klaus' question: No, I didn't use a filter. As almost always, I only had the camera and my light meter in the bag. No tripod, either...

Here is another one from that roll - maybe this is something for the long lost member and founder of this amazing thread, @Doc Henry?

Beautiful photograph and subject. I stand in admiration: I am surrounded by women who shun the camera. I would still be in the doghouse......I do, however, still take my chances; especially when I am already in the doghouse. :)

Best

... Which path would Doctor Tsun have chosen? Would he have gone straight on towards the compost heap, or turned right towards the bench on the hill? Or would he have stayed in the orchard, delighted at the sight of the ripe plums? Luckily, no real shooting was involved but only the soft movement of the shutter ...

The benevolent M rangefinder bears the marked pedigree of the violent weapons rangefinder, providing evidence of the skepticism leveled at vacation destinations named after Albert. Is the appropriate expression "Never turn your back," or "There's no turning back?"

A Bosch bouquet, you have started.
