Hi All,

I am touched by many messages of sympathy in your posts and also by sending personal messages

during my absence

Great thank you for thinking of me .

So I decided to come back in the thread ... the love of beauty has made me lose my head and I hope you will not mind

And as it is soon Christmas ...

I know that you defend like me this search for beauty and this search for art in photographyLet's hope we're not going to see images of digital M in this thread

Now place to the pictures of film "digitalized" I admit by my scanner

Apologies to all that have posted all these exceptional pictures over the past few days that I haven't pressed "thanks" or commented - they all deserve recognition - all showing what wonderful things can be done on film as long as the heart, the mind and the eye are in alignment.

And, lo and behold, I return to find that the maestro himself has returned - welcome back Henry - as good as this thread is and has been, it seems a far more welcoming, stimulating and warm place with you here.

And to all of you other crazy dinosaurs out there, still using that old-fashioned, anachronistic medium of film, I'd like to wish you the compliments of the season, and hope that 2018 will be a wonderful year for all - and with lots more film being used!

My favorite of the two, Wayne.  The B&W really showcases the form in a strong way.

Monochrome version. Agfa Ambi-Sillette, 50mm 2.8 Agfa Color Solinar, FP4

Wow, glorious and majestic scene with the tree perfectly placed and isolated with this vibrant colors.  Amazing in every way!

Thanks, Eoin.  I have the same thoughts about the photo.  :)

I like this a lot, Adam. The backwards glance makes it alive, and the colours are very '70's, if that makes any sense.

Thanks, Steve.  I am guessing that it will be available once again next year....

+1, totally agree EoinC.

I can not understand Adox's reasoning for withdrawing Color Implosion. Bring it back for Christ's sake, well if not for him, for me, and possibly another million film photographers.

Great framing on this one.  Really like it!

Hi Henry - So nice to have you back and I hope all is well!  You've missed out on a lot of fun and you have a lot to catch up on.  I really enjoy this color photo!!  Great colors!

A photo from last year, as a reminder, I will be in NYC a week from today, the 26th, with no plans: https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/278234-nyc-december-26th-2017/

If anyone would care to get together despite the holiday season post or PM.

A warm welcome back dear Henry. I'm very happy to see you posting again. I was actually wondering if we would have to live through Christmas with the thread "limping" on without you (but, that said, we've done our very best to limp in style).

Here's one from your fair country.
