Popular Post stray cat Posted November 15, 2020 Popular Post Share #72461 Posted November 15, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) There is an amusing story behind this photograph, which I took the same time as the previous one. We were staying at a campground on the outskirts of Seville and I was wandering around, as usual, with my camera. I'd taken the previous photo and when I returned to our campsite (we had a VW Kombi van converted into a pop-up camper) there was some lovely guitar music drifting over from where we were parked. It was our next-door neighbour who was playing guitar - and the guitar was all she was wearing! She, her husband and two children had left their home in West Germany hurriedly to escape the westward-drift of the fallout from Chernobyl, which had just happened, and Seville was pretty much as far south as you could go to get away from it. Anyway we became great friends and kept in contact for many years, and I photographed the children, Hannah and Peter, and later sent them a print. Unfortunately I did not photograph the guitarist 😖. Popular Post AntonioF Posted November 15, 2020 Popular Post Share #72464 Posted November 15, 2020 Last swim of the season, Oct 23rd. Chilly water, but crystal clear. Probably the clearest water I've seen in a long time. I'm not the photographer here. I set up the M3 and asked my wife to focus on the lines of goggles. I believe this is 1/100 F2 or F2.8. The new lockdown does not allow us to pass the town's limits, so no driving around and no walks at the beach for now. I'm pretty sure the Gov will lock us inside again. Our regional governor dedicated the whole summer to his campaign and did not care about improving covid hospitals. Only words. It's a shitty situation everywhere in the world, but so for what I've got is this: if the situation improves, the Gov is to thank because they took the right decisions; if the situation gets worse, the people are to blame because they did not behave correctly. And that's regardless the political colors, left, center, right. Leica M3, Canon 50/1.4 LTM, Fuji 4791 @ iso 12 Welcome, dear visitor! Seville, Spain 1986 Canon F1, FD 135mm f2.5, FP4 Phil, I have no idea how good your photo would have been. But I surely know the feeling of not having taken a picture and wondering forever afterwards why, and how it would have looked like. The picture of the kids is lovely in any case. 4 hours ago, Martin B said: Leica M3, Canon 50/1.4 LTM, Kodak Ektar 100 film Autumn colours captured truly well! 1 hour ago, AntonioF said: Last swim of the season, Oct 23rd. What was the temperature of the water? I fully understand your frustration wrt lockdown. Some thoughts: Some governments are better than others. Some people are truly to blame, for their blatant disregard of the safety of others (independent of government rules) I believe that many governors and even more people value their freedom (noisily so) but have no notion that freedom cannot exist without responsibility. Maybe a chubbier version of Enzo! Fuji 4791 is pretty cool to play with. I get it hand rolled from California through my in-laws in Seattle! It sounds complicated ... Very contrasty and basically grainless.
