I started using the UPS (Ultimate Point and Shoot) camera as a sort of tongue-in-cheek thing. It has grown on me. I push Foma 400 and Kodak 400 to 1600, take a singe incident reading when I walk out the front door, set the camera at f16, appropriate shutter speed, and shoot away. Thanks again, Wayne P.S. I do regret you did not get a shot of the "guitarist." 2

I believe Bernard Plossu used only those on his travels. And I have heard and seen the B&W use of the Kodak movie films before, and your pictures show a delicious tonality. Could you post the development details? Thanks. ECN-2 expired, cheap ends films are well kept secret among those who see no reason to overpay for TriX. :). This particular film was expired something like 14+ years ago. Here is absolutely nothing special about developing ECN-2 film in bw chemicals. Developing times, fixing washing are just like for any BW film with matching base ISO. With only special exception to remove remjet. Once you see black coming out, fill it with warmer water and shake like crazy. Also clean it with fingers under running water before Photo-Flo. Negatives will still have orange mask, but they are totally scannable and darkroom printable as you could see. It just takes extra time for exposure under enlarger. Some cinematographers did cross developing of ECN-2 films in BW and ECN-2 chemicals. Here is Fuji 250D developed what way: Welcome, dear visitor! I should have recognized it-- I've been there. I do remember the place very well. For several reasons. I arrived there on a busy saturday night... looking for my bed&breakfast. Google led me right into the old town.. until the lane was so narrow that I couldn't move any more, not even get out of the car. I was impressed with the patience of the crowd surrounding me--perhaps they were just impressed by my foolishness of driving into the pedestrian precinct.... And then there was that marriage procedure starting in front of the cathedral--the bride looked angry, the bridegroom even angrier--and the respective families standing in two groups--as if preparing for a shoot out. Didn't see a lupara though.... 🤤 vor 1 Stunde schrieb Xícara de Café: Welcome, dear visitor! Can you tell me about the SFX--any advantage over your "normal" b/w film ? Thanks Kl@us. I actually bought this film because it was cheap. It's expired film. Film has become astronomically expensive here and I buy expired whenever I can from the same dealer. It's infra-red sensitive film with an IR or red filter (less so with yellow) apparently but is meant to act like normal film when no filter is used. It's also high contrast - and perhaps the low-contrast PMK wasn't the best of choice for the developer. I have two more rolls and will try with Rodinal next. Someone on Flickr who shoots a lot of digital IR suggested to me to use a piece of exposed and developed colour film as an IR filter - I may have a tag of 120 film that i can use - or perhaps an overexposed shot - I don't imagine a bit of detail in the filter will make much difference. Perhaps someone can comment on that? I liked the effect it gave on the jetty photo I posted recently - but on other shots i think i would have preferred normal film and no filter. But I will try to go to the IR extreme on the next roll. This is a really nice photo by another Flickr friend Petter Hamnes in medium format with SFX 200 and a proper IR filter (720nm): Welcome, dear visitor! verwackelt Posted November 17, 2020 Share #72517 Posted November 17, 2020 It is a really beautiful picture. I like here that the IR-effect is more subtle than with real IR Films like Efke IR-820 or other.
