Goddamit Wayne but this is a great photograph!

A heartfelt thanks, Phil. I started using the UPS (Ultimate Point and Shoot) camera as a sort of tongue-in-cheek thing. It has grown on me. I push Foma 400 and Kodak 400 to 1600, take a singe incident reading when I walk out the front door, set the camera at f16, appropriate shutter speed, and shoot away.

Thanks again,

Wayne

P.S. I do regret you did not get a shot of the "guitarist."

A lovely camera - lens combination, indestructible. I believe Bernard Plossu used only those on his travels. And I have heard and seen the B&W use of the Kodak movie films before, and your pictures show a delicious tonality. Could you post the development details? Thanks.

ECN-2 expired, cheap ends films are well kept secret among those who see no reason to overpay for TriX. :). This particular film was expired something like 14+ years ago.

Here is absolutely nothing special about developing ECN-2 film in bw chemicals. Developing times, fixing washing are  just like for any BW film with matching base ISO.

With only special  exception to remove remjet. Once you see black coming out, fill it with warmer water and shake like crazy. Also clean it with fingers under running water before Photo-Flo.

Negatives will still have orange mask, but they are totally scannable and darkroom printable as you could see. It just takes extra time for exposure under enlarger.

Some cinematographers did cross developing of ECN-2 films in BW and ECN-2 chemicals. Here is Fuji 250D developed what way:

Three times B&W? I've got to throw in some colour here:

M6ttl, 35, Fuji Pro400H

Wow, what a color contrast ! This is right out of the book about complementary color systems... well spotted, Christoph

again the color.... technically perfect, nice composition, but the color adds a bit of salt to the soup...

Pritam, the scenery couldn't be nicer. I agree, the composition is that of a perfect  postcard--- but shouldn't we treat ourself more often to such  pleasures, without feeling guilty ?  Thank you for the postcard !

Thank you Klaus, it is Cefalù  on Sicily. Not very far from Palermo

Stefan, thank you. I should have recognized it-- I've been there. I do remember the place very well. For several reasons. I arrived there on a busy saturday night... looking for my bed&breakfast. Google led me right into the old town.. until the lane was so narrow that I couldn't move any more, not even get out of the car. I was impressed with the patience of the crowd surrounding me--perhaps they were just impressed by my  foolishness of driving into the pedestrian precinct.... And then there was that marriage procedure starting  in front of the cathedral--the bride looked angry, the bridegroom even angrier--and the respective families standing in two groups--as if preparing for a shoot out. Didn't see a lupara though.... 🤤

Xicara de Cafe--nice picture. Can you tell me about the SFX--any advantage over your "normal" b/w film ?
