Dear Digilux2 photographers

There has been no website that compile and expose our portfolio using this lovely camera. There for being published temporarily

leica-digilux2-user.tk

Leica digilux2 user embassy

Which promote D2 user work. In this website we can promote our best portfolio and published books. Picture are zoom able and link directly to the photographer's website.

There are some pictures that have not been linked yet because I don't personally know the address of website/blog/FB/Flickr that user in the Leica forum uses.

Because of that for some pictures I used ©username in the Leica forum. For some that I know i've already put full name and website link to it.

if there is some pictures that you personally don't want to be published/edit/updated you can just contact me on FB. By giving you leica forum id, name, fb, or flickr so i can connect the photo directly to you.

On the upper right on the web will feature user photo I only capable of collecting some. so if you want to participate just upload your picture using D2 or give me link of picture that you'd prefer so i can put it on the web.

For best viewing

safari, firefox,camino + flash plug-ins

To browse just click and drag (left, right, up, down)

To zoom one click on the desired picture and to go to the photographer web another click on the zoomed picture. to zoom out click on the blank space between the zoomed picture.

Sincerely,

Prabu

Followed the D2 even before it launched back in 2004, via the press announcements and the Leica forum. Truly wanted one, but always figured Leica would launch a follow-on D2.X.

So, I waited patiently, but eventually realized the D2 was one-of-a-kind.

Inspired by Thorsten's and John T's great websites and by all the great pics from contributors on this forum, I bought a D2 last year and have never regretted it for one moment. Easily the most fun I have ever enjoyed from photography!

Here are three quick shots from the past several months.

Sorry... I beg to differ. I don't like the idea of content being harvested without the permission of the content's owner. I think it shows very poor judgment and shows disrespect to copyright and intellectual property ownership.

The idea that it is OK to publish someone's work just because it appears somewhere else on the internet is inexcusable.

Sorry... but I feel my images are my images. Wherever I post them is my decision and affords me the right to remove them at my discretion. They are not posted with the idea that it is now OK to post them somewhere else.

It's wrong.

OK... so I'm guessing you stood there holding the camera in postion until you were frozen solid and then someone else leaned in and pressed the shutter?

One second hand held? You're either dead or in a coma. Bravo.... and well done. :)

What John said, lol! Regardless, I like the B&W.

D2 in B&W mode, then cropped and tinted in PP.

ISO100 @ f2.0 @ 1/40s

I have been using other cameras lately but the D2 produces these softlight images that require almost no PP at all.

WOW.... Two brand new in-the-box Digilux 2 cameras on the big auction site. Unfortunately, because they are consecutive serial numbers the seller is only offering them as a pair. Strange really... Individually he could probaly get the original retail asking price from a lot of people. I'd sure like one of them.

It’s always a challenge to try and get the “Leica glow” from the Digilux 2 given the size of the sensor… even at wide open apertures. This shot allowed me to use some available window light and open up the lens to f/2 and shoot at 1/60th sec. The focal length was 65mm (equiv)

Some holiday lights in the background help contribute to the bokeh.

I also had the white balance set to black and white… so this is what I saw in the camera at the time I took the shot.

Wow, 2900 $ and unopened, so the buyer might find two faulty sensors...

Here are a couple I shot New Year's day down at the beach. Perfect weather and the kids were having a ball. Nice punchy colors from the Digilux 2 as well!

Eeek.....

But you certainly excel in nice and tasteful images; that´s far more important than the exterior..;)

LOL

It's actually more red than it photographs... for some reason, the "magenta" tint comes up stronger. It's actually strawberry red. :) And trust me, it's drop dead gorgeous. I still want to do a chocolate brown one, though.
