Thanks! But as Thorsten says, life is too short for RAW. This was taken at the highest quality, highest res JPEG setting. ISO 100, no PP.

The proper source for that quote is by the way Chris Weeks. I just recycled it in the Digilux 2 article. But it's perfectly true, though DMR and M9 requires RAW workflow if the files must really sing.

Is there a Lake Keswick in Cumbria? Do you mean Derwent Water by any chance Douglas? :)

Pete.

I think Douglas means Bassenthwaite Lake, near Keswick.

As an aside, Bassenthwaite is the only "Lake" in the Lake District... ALL the others are Waters or meres. :D

Regards,

Bill

Hi John

I made three exposures , on correct and the other two were plus and minus one stop. I then used photomatix pro 3.2 and used the exposure fusion feature in that program and that was it. I do not spend any time as such on the computer processing photos as I am no good at it . I would like to find a simple setting in a program to process my photos and I would be very happy. The exposure fusion feature is as close as I can get to processing a photo that looks simular to what I think I saw, without that HDR look. The photo was colour but I converted it to B/W in elements 6, the colour version is on my Flickr page.

Thanks Doug

This camera never fails to leave me shaking my head in disbelief. Just hanging out having a "smoothie." Love it! First one outdoor, second one indoor. ;)
