Lee Martin Posted April 9, 2013 Share #61 Posted April 9, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I got to use a Makina Plaubel a couple of times and the results were amazing from the Nikon lens. It was so portable by comparison as it folded really quite flat. Still around at a few dealers and on EBay.

Graf Lomo Posted April 14, 2013 Share #62 Posted April 14, 2013 I enjoy MF more and more, using a Mamiya 645 S, a Agfa Billy Record II (6x9) and two Holgas. And really, sometimes the best of them are the Holgas.
A miller Posted June 13, 2013 Share #63 Posted June 13, 2013 I have stuck close to my German camera roots and proudly own and use a Linhof Technika Press (circa early 1960's, I think) that was passed to me from my Father. It has a custom fitted Ziess Biogen 53mm/f4.5, Sonnar 100m/f2.8 and Planar 180mm/f4.8, all of which is mint- condition. Heavy as a horse but lots of fun to use. I use 6X6 and 6X9 film carriers. Here is a panning shot of random pedestrians that i just took two days ago on 23rd street in NYC (using the planar 100mm and portra 400). N.B.: i am not a film scanning expert. Welcome, dear visitor! kdriceman Posted June 21, 2013 Share #65 Posted June 21, 2013 I have a Mamiya 6 with the 75mm lens and have been using it extensively as I wait for the M240. I have to say I'm really enjoying it and keep asking myself if spending $7,000 on a new digital rangefinder is really worth it. It seems that I have plenty of time to think about it. Peter_S Posted June 25, 2013 Share #69 Posted June 25, 2013 Fuji GF670/Bessa III - light/transportable, good rangefinder, quite (makes the M7 seem loud), pretictable and good metering, sharp lens. The lens does not quite have the charme of the Rolleiflex' Planar, but has its own merits and overall the GF670 is a very good and camera and work tool. j. borger Posted June 26, 2013 Share #70 Posted June 26, 2013 Contax 645 and Fuji GF670/Bessa III. The Fuji is so portable and light, that i feel little need to use 35mm very much anymore. Contax for me is all about the magic of the lenses and ease of use.

pico Posted February 16, 2014 Share #72 Posted February 16, 2014 Just dusted off my SWC Hassy, fitted new winder. Mine is packed and ready to send in for a CLA. The magazine is jammed and shutter is slow at cold temps. Not happy with the colors of this image, my former workplace. I suck at scanning film. I have loaned the SWC to two photographers and each sent it back quickly because after using they went right out and bought one for themselves. klaush Posted February 17, 2014 Share #74 Posted February 17, 2014 I love my M9. But this said, I moreover use an old Mamiya RZ67, sometimes only, but with increasing pleasure.

PatrickT Posted February 18, 2014 Share #76 Posted February 18, 2014 Currently it's a tie between my Rolleiflex 2.8F and my Pentax 67 with the 105/2.5. Both provide stunning images, but the Rollei is a bit more manageable! I am jonesing for a Fuji GF670 though...

I have been using the Fuji GF670W (55mm Fujinon ebc) for several months on long term loan from Fujifilm UK. I can't praise it highly enough as a compact lightweight mf travel camera, almost tiny beside my GSW690111. Unfortunately, I'll be parting company with it tomorrow as it has to be returned in time for The Photography Show next month. Final image of it from this afternoon: Welcome, dear visitor! pico Posted February 18, 2014 Share #79 Posted February 18, 2014 The experience of Medium format in the darkroom is close to lust. I make small prints, max is floated in 5x7 inch because I know I can go 10x in a heartbeat. In my old age I am moving to box cameras, 6x12 Horseman SW with 35mm Rodenstock, and often true 6x10 Plaubel Veriwide printed with a modified Leitz Focomat IIa. See? I included Leica in this post! Sent from my Etcha-sketch.
erl Posted February 18, 2014 Share #80 Posted February 18, 2014 A tick and a brownie point for you Pico. I'm still flirting with my Hasselblad 203FE which this morning was referred to by a passer by as a 'nice old box camera'.
