Good day,

Long time film rangefinder owner using Leica iiif, Canon P and Canon 7. Supporting LTM lenses include 28mm f/2.8, 35mm f/1.8 and 50mm f/1.8 - all being very clean, late 1950s Canon lenses.

Recent owner of a lightly used M10-R. Adapted the three Canon LTM lenses for use on the modern digital. Very happy with the results.

Enjoying reading forum posts.

Cheers,

Jim

Hi, Paulo from Portugal here.

Canon EOSR user with EF L 2.8 glass (24-70 & 70-200) and also a Sigma Sport 120-300 f/2.8.

Start to looking for a Leica. First it was the Q/Q-P, then the digital M system:

M10-P black chrome (200 21)
M-P typ 240 (107 70)
M10 black chrome (200 00)

And also start to look at Voigtlander VM glass.

Has the opportunity (a week ago) to take some pictures with both: Q and M-P typ 240 with Voigtlander 50mm/1:2.0 APO-Lanthar aspherical.
Q feel really light and M was a joy to use.

Now I´ve change my mind, I want the M first. Already check in almost every european online Leica Store for second hand deals and also in FB groups.
I know is only a matter of time to get my first Leica.

Looking forward to learn more and share some thoughts.

Thanks from Portugal.

Got a 2015 M262 and a new Voigtländer 50 APO in first week of december. Last week I´ve got a 1973 summicron-C 40. Now the 50 is for sale. Realy love the look of the 40 over the (super sharp) 50 APO.

50 APO:

Hello,

I am Bill living just south of the English Lake District.  I have been a Leica film user since 2000 with an M4-P and an R6 plus a range of lenses for each.  I also have an R4s and a boxed almost mint M4.  I am a member of the Leica Society and take part in the postal circles, originally Circle 6 but I have recently joined Circle 2 as well.  In the last month I have taken the digital plunge and bought an M10-R.

Looking forward to taking part in the forum

HI My name is Mark. I live in the Bay Area near San Francisco.  I have been a member of this forum for some years because I was using various Leica lenses on non Leica cameras but never really participated much. In the past I shot with Canon then Nikon. I started with the original Canon D30.. I think it was 4 megapixel DSLR.   Over the last decade I went more towards Sony Mirrorless and Fuji GFX.  I am going to slowly get rid of the later and recently purchased a Leica Q2 and then M11.  Have been reading and getting valuable information the last few days. Glad to be reconnected here

Hi, Carl from Perth in Australia here. Just before Easter I got my very first Leica - an M9 and a 50mm Summicron. So far I love it - it seems very much like a camera where the photographer makes the good shots - it forces you to slow down and think. Needless to say this forum has been a great source of information.

Somehow I don't think the M9 will be my last Leica.

Hello, I am a documentary photographer living between Spain and the UK. My first Leica was a Q1 bought new in 2018. I use two pairs of Leica cameras (an M9P paired with a 10r, and an S2 with an S3) which I alternate depending on the job. Most of my work is done with them. I use also other digital (Nikon, Phase) and analogue equipment (Nikon, Bronica, Linhof) but less often.

For anyone who’s interested, further info can be found at my website: www.irenedelpino.com.

Hola!
Although I've been around the forum for a while now (always browsing and enjoying the wonders you show) I've decided to take the plunge and buy my first Leica. I've had several cameras, (Canon, Sony, Ricoh... I fell in love with the GX100) but I've always wanted to have an M, so I hope to find it and start contributing here. Greetings from Madrid!

Hello,

I've been lurking on here for awhile but have never really participated but I would like to share some of my photos so it's appropriate to start here.

I'm an English guy living in France and I enjoy capturing memories with my M10-R and MP.

Hi all,

Christian, Germany. Into photography for ~25 years. Started out with 35mm film (always coming back to it). Fuji X-Pro user for the last ten years while shooting film on a Bessa R3M and Minilux on the side.

Went all in with an M11 after consulting the forum and Interwebs for weeks. Appreciate the discussions and different views/opinions.
