Cannot recognise the radiator surround. Being separate I suspect the car is mid to late thirties. Not a Maybach.

Rona!d Posted July 13, 2022 Share #17956 Â Posted July 13, 2022 In the early 1900s to the 1920s the company in question was on par with Mercedes and others, qualitywise. Always high quality, no mass market. Technically partly ahead of many other makers, even Mercedes or Horch. In the 1930s they offered high quality mid and upper class cars (nothing like a 540K/770 though, smaller and lighter was modern). Mother company with the same name was founded in the mid 1850s, cars since early 1900s (own company). Stopped production in 1945. One of their leading engineers went to Horch and then BMW. They also built plane engines.
Rona!d Posted July 13, 2022 Share #17957 Â Posted July 13, 2022 They also produced other technical products similar to Adler.

Rona!d Posted July 13, 2022 Share #17960 Â Posted July 13, 2022 They also had an indirect czech license car in their later line up which became a kind of smaller/poorer follow up from the model line in question and BMW built one of their 4WD vehicles with an own model number which became pretty popular in the 1980s. That vehicle BMW also built was a descendant of the riddle car but with an own model number system.
