I got my Leica MP a month ago and was so excited that I didn't notice that the box was from a different camera. The white box was sealed with the serial number and model, all correct and stated that it was a black Leica MP, I opened it myself and inside was the gray camera box, also with the same stickers of the Leica MP serial number and model code, but on this box the picture and text say that it is a silver Leica M-A. I only noticed this today. Also, all the paperwork inside the box is from this specific camera, and all the serial numbers on the stickers are the same. Only the box is from a different camera. Someone in Wetzlar, I guess, mixed up the boxes, another "uniqueness" in the history of a hundred-year-old brand. Maybe someone has had this happen and would like to share their story. -

Hello there, I have decided to start a topic on jammed shutter issue of Leica film cameras. I experienced this issue while taking photos at the Shard. My camera had been loaded with Adox CMS 20 II, the microfilm had the highest resolving power. The first fifteen frames were beautiful to enjoy the view. Yet after 16th frame, the camera was jammed. Since I tried to force its advance lever, it was totally broken. One wondering what was happened may look at the result here. I sent my camera to Wetzlar via Leica Store Mayfair. After eight weeks, it came back to London in a repaired condition under warranty. Recently, I have heard similar experiences to mine. Some of them is not related to choose Adox's films, since they have occurred while using Ilford's HP5+, and so on. In order to build a guide for one who could experience the same, may you share your experiences on jammed shutter, or advance lever stuck?

Hi everyone ! I’m very happy to be part of the family of the Leica now, I just received my very first Leica. I decided to purchased this M4 in a stunning condition. The thing is the next day I realised that was something little bit « strange » just between the flash bulb and the backdoor (check the picture), that there is a part of the top plate looks bent a little, is not huge on the picture but you can notice it and the backdoor is clicking a little bit as well.. Do you think that is normal or it could be an issue? I would appreciate any recommendations Thank y’all !
