luigi bertolotti Posted October 14, 2009 Share #23 Posted October 14, 2009 Looks like no true Leica Orthodox of the Strict Observance left in the world. A true Leca Orthodox disdegnates to play such a game... ; but I could put myself between 2 and 3... let'say 2,8, that sounds fine...
NZDavid Posted October 14, 2009 Share #24 Posted October 14, 2009 Definitely need a category for those who refuse to be categorized. "We are all individuals, like everyone else." Maybe 3 or 4.
lct Posted October 14, 2009 Share #25 Posted October 14, 2009 Funny thread here. Fine analysis, Wilfredo. Fiver as well but to me Leica lenses are generally the best. Now... did you see the new Zeiss 28/2 for Canon? Interesting isn't it. OK #5 you're right. ...5. Humanist Agnostic Leica. This level of Leica philosophy (they repudiate the use of the word religion) leans toward the use of Leica gear but will mix and match equipment with no regard to purity codes at all. They believe Leica gear might be best, but maybe not...

alun Posted October 14, 2009 Share #28 Posted October 14, 2009 Wilfredo -- the most fun I have had all week! I am #1...currently, but you forgot a category: Leica Bolshevik Tendency. We believe in the irreducible necessity of a vanguardist party of the Leica -- a small group of professional Leica revolutionaries -- dedicated to destroying the hegemony of the digital camera in all its forms including Leica M. They are all opiates of the masses. Although inherently atheist and secular we will for purely tactical reasons form occasional alliances with reactionary religious and quasi-religious groups to further our aims -- until such time as these too can be expunged. We support the use of non-Leica M film cameras as the rope supports the hanged man...

twittle Posted October 15, 2009 Share #33 Posted October 15, 2009 Most amusing. I'd put myslef between 2 and 3. I have non-Leica filters and cable release and would consider a Zeiss lens, but currently have only Leica.

wilfredo Posted October 15, 2009 Author Share #35 Posted October 15, 2009 Funny thread here. Fine analysis, Wilfredo. Fiver as well but to me Leica lenses are generally the best. Now... did you see the new Zeiss 28/2 for Canon? Interesting isn't it. OK #5 you're right. Yes, I've seen some threads about it on that other forum. I have three Zeiss lenses so I guess I'm really more of a 4.5 LOL.
pauledell Posted October 15, 2009 Share #36 Posted October 15, 2009 Wilferdo, I rarely open this forum but strolling through this, I see your post. I will be classed as a No. 2 category. Every thing I normally use is all Leica unless you don't count Billingham bags. (Don't tell, but I have used B&H filters before). I have a Leica Tabletop tripod but am using a Gitzo tripod/ Leitz B&S head. Paul

sm23221 Posted October 15, 2009 Share #39 Posted October 15, 2009 I'm a 6, but the definition is a bit amiss. There is concrete evidence that Leica is the best camera available and it really exists!
giordano Posted October 15, 2009 Share #40 Posted October 15, 2009 I use home-made accessories on my Leicas and Leica straps on my Nikons. Where does that put me?
