earleygallery Posted August 11, 2009 Share #3 Posted August 11, 2009 They can't be a Leica dealer - or if they are, and it's true, then they're going to be in trouble!
JBA Posted August 11, 2009 Share #4 Posted August 11, 2009 This is the 6th separate posting of this link I've counted so far. Four of them are in the "Leica neither confirms nor denies" thread and another thread starting out this way was locked in the M8 forum.
kalkadan Posted August 11, 2009 Share #5 Posted August 11, 2009 James - it seems that they are a Leica dealer. The following is from the Leica AG site: Leica System Dealers Leica premier dealers stock a comprehensive range of Leica products, with which they are fully conversant, and with their specialist knowledge can advise you on your specific requirements. Dealer’s name: No., Street: Postcode, Town/City: Distance: Objectif Boetie 6 Rue De La Boétie 75008 Paris 498 m L'Optique Michaud 42 Avenue de Wagram 75008 Paris 1.0 km Mac Mahon Photo Video 31 Avenue Mac Mahon 75017 Paris 1.3 km Photo Vincent 54 Boulevard Latour Maubourg 75007 Paris 1.4 km/ etc. etc. rgds Dan

gdb Posted August 11, 2009 Share #8 Posted August 11, 2009 Personnally, I know this dealer quite well, since he sold me my second R9/DMR last april, and I am not the only one who knows him on this forum. A very nice man who obviously has serious ties with Leica, since he had the first M8 available in France some years ago. Two months ago, he showed me the "Snow-White" Leica M8.2. He had one of the only four copies of this camera available in France. He also told me that the R10 was just "put asleep", nobody knowing for how long... I would rather trust his words... jaapv Posted August 11, 2009 Share #9 Posted August 11, 2009 Trouble then!! Indeed, or somebody at Leica forgot to enclose the embargo form with the info - or we have all been duped, them included, and it is indeed a rumour
lct Posted August 11, 2009 Share #10 Posted August 11, 2009 Trouble or wishful leak?
stunsworth Posted August 11, 2009 Share #11 Posted August 11, 2009 Trouble or wishful leak? I'd say trouble. Potentially it could have cost Leica some sales between now and next month. I'd love to learn the opinion of the chap at Maison du Leica <grin>.
