carylwithay Posted January 10, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I took these before sunrise. The full moon was beautiful so we drove to the ocean. This was quite a sight to see with the moon looking like the lamps. I used different settings on the M8 and noctilux. One is transformed in Photoshop. One is very noisy but it looks like a Surat painting and the last one is as good as I got. I like them all for different reasons. They are three different shots as you can tell by the placement of the moon. Caryl
Advertisement Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Hi carylwithay, Take a look here Moon and lamplights-3 different ways. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
underground Posted January 11, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2009 I enjoy # 3 the best Because I can better enjoy the moon and the lighting from the building. Good job on all, all together.
carylwithay Posted January 11, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted January 11, 2009 So glad you like it. I was really surprised to get any detail in the moon and it did look wonderful at the end of the lighted street. We are going down again tomorrow and i shall try to get a shot without all that noise. johnwolf Posted January 11, 2009 Share #4 Posted January 11, 2009 I like number three best also. The horizontal banding in the sky is a little distracting. Looks like it coming from the lights? The last one shows the moon best and nicely conveys the half-light experience of dawn. -- John
