ChrisG Posted June 14, 2014 Share #441 Posted June 14, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Why a goggled 35mm on an M2? It came with the camera.
Advertisement Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Hi ChrisG, Take a look here I love my M2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pico Posted June 14, 2014 Share #442 Posted June 14, 2014 It came with the camera. I understand. It would be interesting to learn if it focuses and frames properly. Enjoy! .
gyoung Posted June 14, 2014 Share #443 Posted June 14, 2014 No reason it shouldn't do if it's not damaged, I use my goggled summicron on the m6 happily, easier to see than the 35 frame, particularly on an m2. Gerry
xalo Posted June 27, 2014 Share #444 Posted June 27, 2014 Well, beat me, I just succumbed to ordering an M2 (my second). That perfect frameline set & finder got me, together with "having around the body that's missing for the compact 35/40mm outfit with film XXX"... Model from 1960 w/self-timer. Seems in great shape, reputable seller, hopes are high. Will report. Cheers, Alexander
ChrisG Posted June 27, 2014 Share #445 Posted June 27, 2014 Congratulations xalo!! Still on my honeymoon with mine. Thus weekend I hope I can go out and shoot a few rolls.
xalo Posted July 15, 2014 Share #446 Posted July 15, 2014 Strange, for the first time in quite a few years, DHL lost my parcel. The ordered M2 didn't cross the Rhine, it seems. World Cup stupor was already on, perhaps. Very professionally handled by the seller, at least, full reimbursement even before I asked. So, I went forty years ahead and — no offense — a Hexar RF it will be. More of a replacement to my CLE (also lost in Teutonia). But then, having just seen a nice button M2, the wish remains. Durability is beautiful... Cheers, Alexander
coelacanth Posted July 17, 2014 Share #447 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) New-to-me M2 with early "small window" button-rewind, no self-timer. Probably the cleanest looking M I've ever owned including the digital ones as far as the cosmetic condition goes. I had a lever-rewind M2 for several years, and I really regretted letting it go. I intend to keep this one for good. Monochromatic Duo. M2 covers non-flying trips and when MM is in service. MM covers flying trips and everyday-carry during the week. nickthetasmaniac Posted November 23, 2014 Share #456 Posted November 23, 2014 My first post here, after recently 'upgrading' to film and buying my first Leica. A '65 build M2 with lever-rewind and self-timer. At the moment I've got the tiny CV 35mm Color Skopar and 'fat' 90mm Tele Elmarit, and I'm hoping to add a CV 50mm f1.5 Nokton in the next few weeks. Loving the adventure so far! 35mm @ f2.5 on Tri-X
cp995 Posted December 1, 2014 Share #457 Posted December 1, 2014 Wanted to go back to film after years ... Inspired by these great "I love my Mx" threads, I made my decision to buy a near mint Leica M2 without selftimer. It's my first Leica, but I still own several M/M39 lenses for my digital MILCs Welcome, dear visitor! plasticman Posted December 27, 2014 Share #460 Posted December 27, 2014 Couldn't resist the call of the M2 - regretted selling my first one - so just ordered another, together with a dual range Summicron. Looking forward to getting it into my hands now...
