Michael Geschlecht Posted July 12, 2016 Share #641 Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello Everybody, I think the white plugs fit the M3, M2, M1, (original)MP, MP2(an original MP with M2 range/viewfinder) & MD(an M1 without any viewfinder windows). They all have the original (better) Leitz bulb & blitz connexions. I think that all later M's take the black plugs which use the Industry Standard PC (Prontor-Compur) connexions. There are converters which slip over the original Leitz outlets & convert them to PC outlets. They are sort of similar in concept to the coverters which allow the use of silver oxide replacement (S357) batteries in place of the original Mercury PX-13 or PX- 625 batteries in cameras, light meters, etc. Except that the slip on converters for bulb & blitz simply provide a different physical interface between the camera & the connecting wire's plug & do not change voltage or anything else. Guest JMF Posted July 12, 2016 Share #643 Posted July 12, 2016 Thanks Good move, they really are flush so not likely to get ripped off like the common plugs. Enjoy !
Doc Henry Posted July 13, 2016 Share #644 Posted July 13, 2016 JM and Dirk, yes I knew on ebay but 2 pieces of plastic for 40 USD is a bit expensive I think. This is why I have not given you the link. But the explanation of Michael is useful. Best Henry

leicatraveller Posted July 23, 2016 Share #651 Posted July 23, 2016 Hi everyone, My first post after lurking for ages. I thought all the M2's were feeling neglected and couldn't stand for it any longer! Mine is lovely and with my 35 Sumilux asph. produces lovely results! No need to go digital for me. It is much easier just to get a scan when I need it! In berlin there are some really good labs too... Cheers and to lovely M2's Adrian i think is a very good idea
