nano.anderson Posted January 1, 2016 Share #564 Posted January 1, 2016 Did you have to paint it with a broom? I was hoping nobody would notice, but I ran out of Leica-brand paint applicators! Or maybe I was just in a little over my head. Either way, it takes some pretty photos.

nobbylon Posted January 2, 2016 Share #566 Posted January 2, 2016 I've just sold this. Had it 6 years, repainted it myself and used as a test bed for painting. I never used it much. I'll miss it but I'm putting the money toward an M9 which will see plenty of use!

I am interested in how you found a truly durable paint. My interest is not for cameras. I have many uses for a durable black paint. Today my favorite is powder paint. Thank you. . Today my favorite is powder paint. Thank you. . I tried lots of different paint and eventually settled on weapon paint which is baked on in an oven. I got it from a friend in the military but I know it's easily available in the US. It's a lot more durable than Leica paint.

chrism Posted January 15, 2016 Share #572 Posted January 15, 2016 I've discovered an unexpected advantage to the film loading method of the M2 - on rewinding the film it is very easy (practically unavoidable, actually) to leave the leader out of the cassette. I prefer this as I often use a Rondinax or Rondix tank and it saves me fiddling with a film retriever. Much better than rewinding with the camera pressed against my ear as I try to hear the film leave the take-up spool. Chris

chrism Posted January 15, 2016 Share #574 Posted January 15, 2016 The Puts books would look good in handmade leather cases. Not my style. I also posed them that way round to hide the wrinkled edges of the paper, which is what you get when you fall asleep in the bathtub as you try to read them. As to why I fell asleep when reading Puts, I shall not comment..... C.
Aoresteen Posted January 16, 2016 Share #575 Posted January 16, 2016 Humm. I'm not a fan of the M2. Why? 'Cause the M4-P has the 35mm view and the 28mm view as well. But I really love my M3-MOT!
