I thought this was coming Q1 2026 but the first one breaks cover.  Math Photographer has number 60 out of 100.  Nice unboxing video but no mention of price, apart from the expectation of a potentially huge profit after the two year embargo on resale.  Only another 99 lucky recipients left 🙂

Well, if one is used to spend those amounts on a regular basis on photo equipment, one likely does not care about either that the 40k-package does not even include the 50 APO, but only the LUX … 🤔😀

Well, one LUX and a remakes of the Leica 1 lens.  I quite like the look of the Anastigmat, but I sure Leica won't sell it outside of this set.

Math Photographer definitely has a very good connection to Leica Zurich, so he gets offered everything.  But he still has to buy it.  Income from his youtube channel obviously helps.

I suspect he works in banking or owns a business. Mortals, even ones with max $7k revenue from YouTube views will struggle to reliably fund every limited edition.

Just got an update; the price is more like 50K and there isn't really a way to order one online or ensure delivery.

50K... I think that's a crazy amount of money for this set, or perhaps a hint that it's not available to someone.
Nice but no where near 40-50k nice IMO, makes the black paint reissue look like an absolute bargain.

Beautiful set that we’d all like to own and I do enjoy his videos and unboxings as we can all live vicariously… but the underlying flex from this particular video is a little off-putting IMHO.

I lost the link, but someone here knew him and, as I recall, his (former?) career in banking.

The announcement says he will present a review of a yet to be announced camera.  That should get the rumour mill going for the next five months.
