o2mpx Posted May 30 Share #1 Posted May 30 Advertisement (gone after registration) A quick search on google, likely not perfect on variants (not special editions) seemed to indicate the M10 had 5 - M10/P/D/Mono/R from 2017-22. M11 has 4 - M11/P/D/Mono so far since 2022. So is the general consensus M11V the last variant before the M12 to be in market 2027?

ymc226 Posted May 31 Share #5 Posted May 31 The online US Leica Store as well as B&H both show the silver and black regular M11P are out of stock so maybe a new model is imminent.
Kiwimac Posted May 31 Share #6 Posted May 31 Do you count Safari as a variant?

There may be a very limited run collectors edition "100 Years" model announced at the big event in June, but could well be based on a film body as this would be more appropriate. Not long to wait to know.

Photoworks Posted May 31 Share #11 Posted May 31 Safari is usually the last one to come out. the poor people from Tokyo are going to be confused about buying the 100 Year edition, safari, or M11-V, they going to be out at the same time... PS the 35 1.2 is real why not go all the way to 1.0 or 0.95?

jeri Posted May 31 Share #16 Posted May 31 (edited) In the not-so-distant past, Leica has collaborated with artists like Ralph Gibson and Lenny Kravitz. Why not do a similar collaboration now with Bruce Gilden - who left his mark no less than Kravitz and Gibson. He deserves it. And his special camera will probably be the Leica M11 BG, and I'm sure this camera will have an 'attitude' that no Leica has ever dreamed of before. PS If Gilden is not available/at home, it is worth informing the heads of Leica's PR department, that Thorsten von Overgaard is always up for the task. Of course, the flash will come with an extension cable, including a unique adapter for the camera's accessory shoe. There is no way Leica will choose to stick with the flash's original name. Leica M11 owners who want to add the new BG flash to their bag will have to pay accordingly...

I think you are spot on there - film special edition and limited to just 100 to mark the anniversary. Eye watering price, probably at or above the M Edition 70 and, of course, zero availability. Let's talk a little about cables (and congratulations to anyone who isn't in the mumbo jumbo world of exclusive stereo accessories) For our purposes, it's important to note that the unique flash cable will be manufactured by a specialist artisan manufacturer, whose products are intended for a unique market of first-class stereophile music enthusiasts.
