You sound very bitter. This is not Leica's first "green camera" and let people do what they want with their money. It's their choice.

Kiwimac Posted May 27 Share #248 Posted May 27 I’ve got to say that I’m finding the Safari to have something about it that my black M11-P never seemed to. Since the only appreciable differences are colour and weight, I’m concluding that the weight must be it since the colour wouldn’t engender a response. I find it far more tactile than the black version, with a solidity and density that just feel great in the hand.

I can't see eye to eye to green. It's just ugly in my dictionary. 1

SrMi Posted May 27 Share #256 Posted May 27 As a reminder, one can always shoot M11 in lower resolution if the situation requires it.

Which is fine. I prefer the larger internal memory and the sapphire glass. Also, though entirely unproven supposition on my part, if there were any components in the original version that were found to be faulty/ bad choices/contributing to issues, they will likely have been dealt with in the P. Of course they might all have been dealt with on any version young enough. If there were any.

Do we actually already know what the deal is with extra batteries for these special editions, like the glossy black paint to? Just was told today that there is no intention by Leica to make extra batteries for the safari, so what you have is it. Suggestion was made that you ‘preserve’ the green one, buy a silver based replacement, in the event you’d sell it one day. They did say to put pressure on leica to make some available, but i’m not sure how you do that
