I do have the Visoflex 2. I keep it in the bag for when I need it, although it doesn't come out very often.

The first accessory I acquire with a Leica is always the OEM Leather Half Case. Not only does it offer the body some degree of edge protection in the hands of the operator, it also provides a simply glorious grip for the operator's hands.

Is there a half case for the M11?

Yes indeedy. Nice real leather, with a door with magnetic closure for battery and SD card access. Door has notch for USB-C cable connection. Basically almost never has to come off.

There are many. There is even one from Leica which is very nice und very useful.

I found it. Thanks.

Good. I wonder: Do you know the main brands offering such half cases? But when you found it and you're happy then it's fine.

Visoflex on M11 is really good but horrible to look at and carry mounted.

I have five Leica M lenses and I am no longer comfortable with the rangefinder, because my eyesight is what it is now.

In addition, the rangefinder with the digital system has become insufficient, often it is not possible to focus accurately, sometimes because of the camera, sometimes because of the lenses. I remember selling a Summicron 90 mm without ever having had the pleasure of a sufficiently focused photo ...

I am looking forward to a Leica M EVF, so that I can use my M lenses without having to upgrade to the SL series, with its gigantic lenses ...

If you upgrade to the SL series to use with M lenses the size of the native lenses does not really matter. I would advise the SL2S which works perfectly with most M lenses and has a first-rate EVF. It is positively cheap right now. An M EVF is nothing more than a wishful rumor presently and if it ever materializes we will have to see what it is like.

And don’t fall into the megapixel trap. More does not equate better for most photographic applications. But is is a fantastic sales argument.

Which unfortunately is not tiltable and the nice image that @lct has presented above would "not" be possible.

From the ground, no EVF, no tiltable screen, just knowing how to pre-focus and then frame when the camera is away from the eye. Anything is 'possible' if you just try.  28 Summicron, f2, iso 6400.

Ditto here. I ordered my first Sony when i saw how large was the digital SL compared to my old R4s. Now the rumored EVF-M won't have a tiltable EVF so i expect to keep the M11 and the Visoflex 2 for macro and close-ups anyway.

My M lenses have the "close focus" option (can focus closer than the OVF can focus) so I like the Visoflex 2 for that close focus purpose and it works great.   My right eye prescription is -1.25 and I recently added a -1.5 OVF diopter and it works great... if I wear glasses I flip them on my head to focus a picture with the OVF and I have no issues seeing perfectly through the OVF if I am wearing my multi-focal contacts.  Also remember, the Visoflex 2 functions best on an M11 and is disadvantaged on an M10.

I'm relatively new to Leica Rangefinders (and I understand you are not) and did not realize both the camera and lenses can get knocked out of focus calibration... but can be recalibrated by Leica.   I have the M11-D, so no chimping, and am surprised at the high rate I nail focus with the OVF, so I am assuming my equipment is currently calibrated very well.  Of course, zone focusing is a skill unto itself that I find interesting and trying get better.  I made the decision to try the M11 without all the ergo support and it is working out pretty well.   I switched back from a wrist strap to a neck strap, and when wrapped properly around my forearm, can really lock the M11 into my hand.

For me, my most worthwhile addition was adding a 10mm rounded soft shutter release.  I know some are very good at using the padding between the 2nd and 3rd knuckle to depress the shutter.   For me, adding this soft shutter release really added ease and smoothness to my process.
