Or is it a ‘new’ paint. As I mentioned earlier the special LHSA black paint M6 was very glossy and showed every fingerprint. When Thorsten was handed the glossy black paint M11 the person handing it over was wearing gloves which was how you had to handle the LHSA BP M6. Not that I care really, I just got an M11-P and won't be getting this new one with smaller internal memory. It's just trivia I would be interested in knowing. Paint adheres much better to aluminum than to brass. Here's what Leica writes about it on the M11 glossy black product page: Over the years, frequent use creates a unique patina. And he's not quite sure what to make of this 'new' camera. By way of introduction (since I post here little), I'm a Leica user from way back, owning the M6, R6, and R8.
