Dr. G Posted October 1, 2024 Share #3 Posted October 1, 2024 I know this is going to come as a complete shock, but I'm going to use the same bag I had for my Q3. 5

LanceR Posted October 1, 2024 Share #5 Posted October 1, 2024 My preferred bag for an M or Q series camera is the Wotancraft Pilot 2L. It is discrete and unassuming. It has travelled many many miles around the world. https://www.wotancraft.tw/en/product/pilot-travel-camera-sling-bag-2L-khakibrownC
stephenmick Posted October 1, 2024 Share #6 Posted October 1, 2024 Another vote for Wotancraft. I also like Compagnon bags.

ravinj Posted October 1, 2024 Share #10 Posted October 1, 2024 (edited) My setup is standard for any camera I need to carry. Q3, X2D, Q3 43, etc. 1. Cheap padded case from Amazon. Cheap only in price, overall very well padded. 2. Case goes into Mystery Ranch Coulee backpack. 3-zip front loading design that I love while in the field. I love it so much that I bought one as a spare in case they stop making it. Amazing capacity and built to last a long time. Whether I am in NYC, hiking in Montana or walking in Santorini - same setup all the time. Welcome, dear visitor! JNK100 Posted October 1, 2024 Share #11 Posted October 1, 2024 The same bad as for a Q3 as it is the same size.

Q3: 130 x 80.3 x 92.6 mm Q3 43: 130 x 80.3 x 97.6 mm FWIW, Leica's Etta Puch works for Q3 43.

I do however like the leather version ! Thankyou 😀

I knew this but I don't think 5 mm will affect choice of case ..

I have never worn it against my body without a shirt for the day, but I do carry it to the side where it comes into regular contact with my arm. I have never had any arm skin irritation from the using it for long days on trips that have lasted almost a month. But, I was not wearing it against my body without a shirt. The surface is a bit "tacky" compared to other bags, which I always considered a feature of it as it does not slide around a much as other bags. Up against body skin all day without a shirt though, honestly, I am not sure if that would become irritating.

My opinion is that the material is much better that the other similar used by other producers.

Interestingly, when I measure Q3 and Q3 43, including EVF protrusion and original lens cap, I see 108mm for both cameras, i.e., identical for any practical bag consideration.
