As you have experienced yourself, it is grayed out. A mistery worthy of Poirot!

Now there's the last mystery how the firmware version 10.20.27.20 found the way on your "simple" M10. Does the camera work at all, can you take photos with it? (You should not be able to do so but expect that a "simple" M10 with M10-R firmware was completely bricked). You said you made a reset of the camera but it didn't work. What happened exactly when you made the reset? I meant that the update didn't work despite I reset the camera. If I make the reset the camera ask me if I want to keep the user profiles and then it launches the reset normally. Something that I noticed that didn't work is the connection with the App Leica Fotos, there's only a WLAN option and if I try to click on it there's no pairing with my phone. that's why I wanted to update the firmware. Also there's the GPS option which is also greyed out.. A part from that the camera works normally, when I bought it I didn't realise that the firmware wasn't the right one
UliWer Posted May 16, 2024 Share #43 Posted May 16, 2024 You might try to install a previous firmware for the M10 and if this works upgrade to the last one: Welcome, dear visitor! UliWer Posted May 16, 2024 Share #46 Posted May 16, 2024 Unfortunately it is no longer on the Leica website and I don‘t know any other link. So it seems there is no other way than asking the shop you bought it to reveal the mysteries of your camera‘s firmware.

Contact Leica CS, there is something totally weird going on here,. In any case Leica should be able to install the proper firmare.
TomB_tx Posted May 16, 2024 Share #49 Posted May 16, 2024 As far as "it can't be done" to install the wrong firmware - maybe for normal users, but Leica has done it. See:

See: Oh Leica can do it. I watched it being done years ago. They have those nifty docks and install from scratch. Unfortunately, or fortunately, we can’t have one of those.
mmanda Posted May 29, 2024 Share #51 Posted May 29, 2024 Leica once sent me a X2 firmware that was no longer on their website. So you could ask them to email a later firmware version. They can only say no
colonel Posted May 29, 2024 Share #52 Posted May 29, 2024 This is a job for Leica I think. There is a software solution that forces a firmware upgrade by USB cable, but we dont have access to it.
