Telyt 280mm 4.8 yellow letters

I just piked up a Telyt 280mm 4.8 in as new condition with a end  22989.. serial.
I am wondering that it has the same lettering in yellow than the next series.
So my question, Is it only design or are there any other changes.

It is screw mount and has yellow feet-scale, is that like yours? Earlier screw mount Telyts have a red feet scale. Note the dot on the aperture ring is red on this lens, yellow on later M lenses. As the feet scale belongs to the mount, and the aperture to the lens head, I don't expect the optical design was changed with yellow ft scale.

Mine have the red dot on the aperturering too.
I think you are right, maybe they put together what was available.

Mine is 185... and it has a white meter scale with a red feet scale. It must be one of the earliest of this series. Aperture ring is the same as on ebay.
As you probably know it does not work on a LTM Barnack unlss you use a Visoflex I housing, on the Visoflex II and III it needs the 16466M OUBIO adapter.

I have an M to R adapter that allows me to use it on the SL with my R-L adapter.

I use it with the OUBIO and a Visoflex on my MD-2.
I have both Visoflex II and III and find out that the II with the chimney finder
works best for me.
Only the focus runs too stiff I hope it become better witn using the lens. Edited January 1 by DreiPunkte

I confess that never noticed this small variant of the Telyt 280 II ver. ... anyway, my 1.900.221 has the feet scale in red , and white + red dots for the f/stop indexes (preset + closure)
