Beautiful camera with a nice little lens (Summaron 2,8/35 mm). Same size and shape as the famous Summicron 8 elements, but for 1/3 the price.

Some impressions, taken with the shown combination in the Leitz park on the occasion of the LSI annual conference.

Sorry to ask this.

Does this merit a separate images thread? What is inherently different in the images from M11 and M11-P?
I can see the need for a M11M images thread of course, but for the other M generations the images from the same 'family' of M types are posted in one thread.

Image authentication, pictures of cats, or brick walls, will never look the same.

Agreed.

If there is a difference in IQ between a M11 and a M11-P, it means one of the camera would be defective...

I'd argue we shouldn't have an M11-P Images thread, for the M10-P there also was not a separate one afaik. Maybe if it retains the authenticity data it could be interesting to look at that for posted photos, but it looks like the forum currently strips that metadata out because the images posted here don't appear to have the data according to contentauthenticity.org.

OP did post a picture of the M11-P, not taken with the M11-P.  I'm uncertain about the primary purpose of this post. If it was meant to showcase the M11-P in real-world scenarios (as in the first photo), then the post makes sense to me.

I have still such a Summaron with my M2 - a great lens and great duke all the time. On a silver P it must look a little bit more nicer :) but that's complaining at a high(est) level ...

I apologize to those who find this thread superfluous. I opened it because there are always people who want to see pictures from a new camera model - even if it doesn't bring much new insight. And I wanted to show the beautiful combination of camera and the tiny little chrome Summaron.

Totally love it.  Thank you!
