I've only had the Q3 for a short time, but I'm positively surprised by the fantastic crop options the new sensor provides

Underground with the Q3 .

That's very nice indeed. Good work. Not quite sure how you pulled it off but it looks cool.

Here are some more from today's biking. The weather here on Skye is amazing at the moment so it's best to be out and about. What more could you want than an eMTB to explore.

The Q3 does feel a bit more "exposed" than my X100V which has a slimmer profile. The X100V would sit in a jersey back pocket quite easily, the Q3 less so. I have it clipped to my belt with a Peak Design clip thing and I also keep a neck strap on just in case.

I make full use of the Q3 electronic shutter on these shots, using f/1.7 in bright sunlight. They vary from 1/4000th to 1/8000th - this makes the Q3 extremely flexible and not needing the ND filter the X100V has built in (though that's nice for longer exposure water shots).

As per yesterday's these are dng converted in Lightroom with a simple preset with slightly boosted contrast, saturation, clarity and a bit of a vignette.

Many shots of the same subway and always the same time and motion. But with time you get to know the spots and where to position yourself.

Testing the DR of the Default OOC Jpeg in the Q3

I am a RAW shooter who, if possible, tries to avoid as much post processing as possible.  I purchased the Q3 (and Q2) primarily as a pleasure cam.  I was curious to see whether the Q3 can deliver great results with little or no PP.  Thus, my first test with the Q3 -- an Air Museum in Riverside County on a bright sunny day….a little past mid-day.  Took more photos than the 3 shown but I wanted to see what the standard metering and default settings would yield.  I was also testing the Q3 against an A7R5/Batis 25mm/2 as this lens is one of the closer lenses to the Summilux in specs.  The copy I bought many years ago is a fairly good copy and provides excellent IQ.

Shots were taken fairly wide open at f/2.8 at ISO 50.  Didn’t have as much time and patience to take more AND decided to ensure little motion blur with very short SS.  Enough words…. I am very happy with what I see from the Q3 and it will be on my hip most of the time.  Good balance between bright and shadow areas.  I will probably boost slightly the saturation and contrast in the in-camera Jpeg.  And a note: the A7R5 also did a remarkably good job at default settings. But since this is a Leica forum, I will just sing the praises of the new beast.  If any of you has any desire to see the A7R5 images I will display them in another post.

Bob, a very pleased Leica Q3 owner!

Thanks. Great summary of your first impressions.
Picture number two is what I imagined as the vehicle the trashcan-man used in The Stand. Absolutely! :)
