Olaf_ZG Posted June 30, 2023 Share #61 Posted June 30, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just sold the mm. Having upgraded to the m10m it didn’t make sense to keep two monochrom’s.

DennisPT Posted July 1, 2023 Author Share #62 Posted July 1, 2023 6 months have elapsed and I just sold my M9M because work has eaten up most of my time and energy in the past few months. Although I don’t feel like taking photos, my M9-P is not going anywhere and anytime.

leicabug Posted September 5, 2023 Share #65 Posted September 5, 2023 (edited) Leica did have something closest to reissue in 2019, selling refurbished M9 and M9P directly from the factory. https://www.slack.co.uk/m9-for-ccd-lovers.html You can choose from many different leather covers of smooth or textured leather. At the time I contacted Leica for M9M, and there was only one available. It was silver. Edited September 5, 2023 by leicabug To add

That’s when they used up all the remaining ccd sensors from trade in’s and made a huge profit rather than keeping the spares for customer repairs which is suppose to be 10 years since last the last production date of M9 & M-E 220 model.

ianman Posted December 2, 2023 Share #69 Posted December 2, 2023 Mine is staying. Having no need for bells and whistles, it’s still the best digital M body for me.
Ray Vonn Posted December 2, 2023 Share #70 Posted December 2, 2023 Definitely staying, for me the closest digital ILC to a film camera there is and that, together with its output, makes it so much fun for me. I can understand why a lot of digital users, indeed a lot of Leica rangefinder owners these days would hate it and that's fine; it's just that I love it.

I'll soon have to reshoot this shot (again) because the one on the left started to malfunction this Wednesday so I have ordered an M9P to replace it until I can see if it is fixable or not. DennisPT Posted December 31, 2023 Author Share #73 Posted December 31, 2023 2024 is here, I guess there are still a lot of fans of the M9 series cameras. Consider this is the 15th anniversary of the first M9, Leica and many of the M9 users shall be very proud ! Happy new year to all of you !
satijntje Posted December 31, 2023 Share #74 Posted December 31, 2023 This year I sold my M8.2 and M9-P. Still receiving a good price for both camera bodies. In a few years these 2 bodies will anyway be digital waste. On the other hand, my two analog M cameras will stay. 1
IkarusJohn Posted December 31, 2023 Share #75 Posted December 31, 2023 Currently travelling (by car). Packed M9 Monochrom (silver chrome); M10-D; and M-A (black paint); with 21 Summilux; 35 APO Summicron; 50 APO Summicron (black chrome) and 75 Summilux. If you don’t have it with you, you won’t use it. No plans to sell or upgrade any camera - it will be an endurance event. Nocc Posted January 1, 2024 Share #76 Posted January 1, 2024 Hanging onto my M-E TYP 220, I have some lovely natural brassing and the files absolutely keep up in good light. Certainly I could liquidate it and use the money on travel or glass, but it's just so hard to part with.

tappan Posted April 21, 2024 Share #79 Posted April 21, 2024 Hello, When is an M9-P not and M9-P. I bought an M9 in 2011. Shortly thereafter, Leica offered an a la carte upgrade of the camera to an M9-P. Mine is an M9-P in everyday except the hotshot inscription. Mine is in excellent shape with 40,000 shutter actuations and newest replacement sensor. Yes, I am thinking of selling it. Mark
