  1. Saw the Noctilucent review by Anson https://tahusa.co/diary/the-equanimity-game-light-lens-lab-50mm-f-1-2-asph-noctilucent/
  2. I had the v5 50mm Summicron twice before, nice lens and the retractable hood was convenient and the 0.7m minimum focusing was a plus. The performance was on par with the high standard the Leica was famous for. I sold it because I wanted to travel compact and I finally settled for the Elmar-M. I remember the days I had the E58 and v4 Noctilux and I was shooting film, with the limited ISO of film, the f/1 Nocts really gave me the edge when I could shoot 1/15 instead of 1/8. The Nocts were special tools for selected occasions. The downside to me was the weight and size and I sold them. The reason I bought the Noctilux 1.2 remake was just sentimental as I couldn’t afford it 15 years ago, even before it skyrocketed. Speaking of the remake, I had a chance to try 2 copies and I found one was sharper than the other. I could be wrong as it might be rangefinder calibration related issue. With me shooting digital these days, the remake was a special tool in a different way as the draw was vastly different wide open and stop down. The V2 Summilux which is a keeper, I like the way it performs on film and digital, not critically sharp and I like the color rendition. It was also the 44th copy of the first batch. So it is really up to the OP to decide what to purchase and I reckon he may end up trying all of them sooner or later. Best of luck @tom0511.
  3. Just for size comparison: Summilux V2, Noctilux 1.2 ASPH and Elmar-M. @tom0511 Hope it helps and good luck with your purchase.
  4. With the S31 and S16 filters that @Huss introduced, this photo was taken at f8-f11 with M10P using live view function. Happy lunar new year!
  5. Nice way to hold the front cap 👍🏻 Thanks for sharing!
  6. Happy new year Hirohhhh! Please see my #10 post on page 1. The copy I have could be unlocked when I pressed the lens release button, without touching the lens. Despite this, the lens did click and stayed on the camera when I mounted it. Hope this helps.
  7. Congratulations! That’s a wonderful addition 👍🏻
  8. 2024 is here, I guess there are still a lot of fans of the M9 series cameras. Consider this is the 15th anniversary of the first M9, Leica and many of the M9 users shall be very proud ! Happy new year to all of you !
  9. December arrived and the year 2023 will be history soon. Though I sold my M9M due to lack of time taking pictures, my M9P is staying with me. How about you?
  10. The filters arrived and made the lens so much more fun to use, thanks @Huss
  11. Thanks for posting the photos @Huss Corner smear seems less visible on film, right?
  12. @Huss I got a set of S31, S16 and skylight filter. Can’t wait to try them on this little lens. Thank you again for the information.
  13. I don’t realize the closeup filters exist, now I got the itch. Thanks @Huss
  14. What a story with happy ending! I am thrilled to hear the lens finally arrived and you have so much fun using it! This little lens is different from the other lens I have used. Despite its ‘quirks’, I really love the compactness and I can definitely live with its performance. Your story reinforced my belief to have faith and never give up, good things will happen if you have a good heart. Thanks again for sharing and have fun taking photos.
  15. Thanks @Huss for the information. I used the lens without filter and shade for its compactness, no problem so far but I’ll keep your info in mind. Hope you get your money back soon.
