My M6 just came back to me after spending three months at DAGs in Wisconsin. She has had a CLA, had her eyes fixed and a full body make over.

The finder has been upgraded with the MP optics and is now as bright and clear as that on my M8, RF patch flare is no longer a worry. With the Camera Leather Levant Black covering the feel is just fantastic.

M6, 35'lux ASPH, Rapidwinder and a Gordy's strap - oh and she is loaded with Tri-X

I love my M6 a bit like a step child. It clearly is not the one, I wanted or planned, as it should have been a black one.

It definitely is the one, that hooked me into Leica and rangefinder cameras and changed, how I see the world with a camera.

I probably will not sell it either, as I a sentimental guy and it is the first Leica (and actually a silver chrome beauty at that).

I wrote a bit about it here on my website.

I am always on the lookout for a nice black sample.

I love they way you have made the wrist-strap. I have followed your instructions and now have two perfectly functional straps for my M8 and M6. Thanks!

I have all black Ms except for my M3...but the chrome continues to grow on me and I'm thinking I need a .58 MP and chrome would be the easy answer to tell them apart!:D

I really can justify anything if given...oh 30 seconds or so!:p;)

That M6 looks great in that shot!

I am glad, my small tutorial was of help ;-)

I love the Leica quick connectors soo much.

Depending on the task, I prepare my cameras just within a few seconds before leaving.

1. If I just go with one body for some leasure shooting (especially with a digital cam without film changing), I just throw a Leica wrist strap - menosized™ on it.

2. If I go with more than one body (a wide and a normal or tele lens at once, color film and BW,…), I throw two modified Leica shoulder straps on the cameras.

3. If I go with one camera and actually just take the camera with me for the moment I need it, I slung it ready to shoot over my shoulder and have it in standby.

These straps are really better then German bread (and little can beat that actually).

Thanks stealthman_1 (T.. ?) - don't tell anyone - it's shot with a Nikon :o

Because, it is my first Leica actually, I plan, to keep it. Just because of that, the chrome will be loved sooner or later - it looks more beautiful than the utilitarian black chrome I have to agree. It's weekend now and time to search through the second hand camera shops - hundreds of black M's there. I might find mine too ;-)

All my M shots are with Nikons too...:D Yes, it's me from the Cafe. A D3 with bounced flash is very kind to Leica bodies.:p I sure wish I had used camera shops with hundreds of any body, much less Leica! I have a bid on a silver M6...we'll see on Sunday...

Why do you have tape over your window? What does it do for you?
