My wife and I are the Dynaudio distributors in the U.K.!

Leica and Dynaudio... good taste! :)

Bill,

If I had've known you were a Leica fan our conversation in Bristol may have included topics other than Naim and Dynaudio....... hope the show went well. I had a good nite out with Doug, Paul Stevenson and Geoff from Acoustica..... good stories re. Las vegas and a road trip!!

New to this forum, own and shoot a classic M6 since 1992, 2 weeks ago, I did the MP finder upgrade (and front window) myself and wow, the fun is back in the equation !!!

Interesting. I have the classic and have considered the MP finder as well.

After leaving the M6 world with a pledge not to return I came across a boxed black beautiful M6 in excellent condition, and guess what, my AMEX came out :(:)

I got all excited about getting a set with lenses I never used before, so ordered a Voigtlander 40mm f1.4 MC and 28mm f2 I have set forth .... more to come on this combo but boy those lenses are made well and blend beautifully with the body

Anyway, in advance of a my inevitable ramble, here is the beauty, clothed in A&A and naked when called for ...

Oh boy! Just unboxed this little beauty. Can't wait to put some film through it, but that will have to be at the weekend sadly.

It has the .58 viewfinder which is perfect for use with my glasses.

I've just ordered a black M6 from a dealer based on the Ex++ description and from the looks; good price too.

Black paint on top of zinc, or is it plated prior to paint being applied? I'm also wondering what it will look like when the paint rubs away, will I see nasty zinc or what?

Also advice on testing please as I have 14 days to return. I'm confident my lenses are good have tested on my M240, so RF test at minimum focus and infinity using the 50mm should do (yes?). I also have reference light meter so that's easy, but I need to test all SS which may be problematic at the slow end. Light leaks should be obvious, but is there anything else I should look for?

Many thanks,

Steve
