Same location for far too many of my summer still life works but the addition of the lilacs, thanks to my wife, and a need to try out my new Biogon C 35mm f2.8 just "made it happen".  The CL, from a DNG processed in Lightroom Classic.

CL with 50mm Summilux-R E55 at f/1.4, about 6m from subject . . .

Color/contrast are SOOC .dng. Bokeh gets better with subjects closer than this (e.g. head shot), even at f/2 . . .

Another gloomy day where even f/5.6 pushed ISO well into four digits much of the time.  Too, ~380mm AOV is a bit short for most birds, towards which one cannot "zoom with the feet"!!  :p

Carpenter Bees don't mind, though . . .

CL with 180mm APO-Elmarit-R + APO-Extender-R 1.4X, cropped at about 50% . . .

Amanda, I very much like both and your conversion to b/w. But I prefer the first one because that little part of the garden on the left situates the place and gives more “space” to the place. The second one is also very interesting because it gives an “abstract” feeling to the picture.

My 2cts for what is worth,... ;)

Both are great, but I, too, prefer the first one. The window contains a strong reflection of the woods.  With the cropped version, that reflection has no context.

The highchair picture is a fabulous capture!

Finally, my dream car!...

You can see lots of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Maseratis, RR, etc in Miami; but none of them is as eye-catching as this beauty. Women just go crazy for it!... Just imagine you have a date with the woman of your dreams, and you go picking her up with this car... She can not resist you anymore!...

Look at those eyes. Isn't that a beauty!... You can even see the wonderful brain!

Thank you!  Sometimes I find it hard to decipher what makes a good pic.  I can see it now with this one!
