I'm really struggling to get LR to downsize my files small enough to post. This one was cropped enough that I could downsize it to meet the site limit!!

Beautiful sidelight. Beautiful TL 11-23 at 16mm, ISO 3200, f5. I continue to be impressed by how noise free this sensor is.

Which probably means that you are using LR CC. That will only allow you to choose the image pixel size, but not the JPG compression  (AFAIK). Usually 1280 pixels will stay below the Sponsoring Members file size limit, but not under the regular member's one.

However, if you switch to LR Classic CC you will find the old export dialog, which will allow you to set both pixel-defined image size and file size.

A quick grab shot from our porch.  For clarification - 1280 pixels "long side"?  What is the recommended resolution?  I too have been struggling lately to get good looking posted from files.  I use Lightroom "Classic".  This image is 1280 pixels long side at 300 pixels per inch.  Thanks in advance.

Jaap - thank you very much.  1280 pixels long side makes for a very large image on my 15" MacBook Pro but certainly does have exceptional resolution.

Thanks for the beautiful photo. There are websites that do this for free and maintain the size: e.g.

Thank you - this works a treat

Grenadier Dragonfly (Agrionoptera insignis), content to sit for a portrait . . .

CL with 180mm APO-Elmarit-R + APO-Extender-R, ISO 5000, cropped at about 50% . . .

This combination really needs to be shot at f/8 for best IQ, often pushing the ISO uncomfortably high. No other lightweight options, though, at least not with a red dot . . .

Rob,

As usual, it does not matter which camera you are using, the shots are just incredible.
