KInd of acquired a taste for 28mm. 60MP with the 28mm would be my preferred option to make better use of the 75mm crop option. If the next sensor is 60MP at all. Higher MPs do come with limitations.

IMO, the 28mm is part of Q's DNA. So I would not like to see a change.

I do not care about resolution as long as it is >45MP. I would like to have at least one stop better DR, which can be accomplished with a 60MP sensor (M11, a7rIV). Besides file size, larger resolutions have only advantages (IQ, better cropping possibilities, larger prints, better post-processing).

A fast face detection would be nice.

It's hard to see why Leica chose 28mm, other than to cash in on cellphone use (bizarre) or a mania for 'street' photography. By and large the most popular focal lengths traditionally with Leica are 35mm or 50mm. 28mm is a very specialised focal length not suited to many subject matters.

Easy to crop to 35mm with good quality and the added benefit of seeing what's going on outside the frame. And 50mm still delivers very good results. It is a fixed lens camera, so as wide as possible is just fine with me.

With the comparison to cell phone 28mm FOV it’s interesting to note that many phones offer multiple FOV lenses. Perhaps the Q3 should incorporate some optical zoom capability.

My wish is that the launch of the Q3 be delayed as long as possible, ideally for years.

Why? Because, as we all know, Leica will remotely disable all Q2 cameras, including mine, on the day of the launch.

I’m happy with 28: 28 and 75 were my most common pairings with my M.

I find 28, 35 and 50 OK in the Q2, but 75 is a tough ask at around 5mp. Push the resolution up to 90mp and you could get 10mp at 75mm.

That is one of the best proposals I ever read. Clearly this would avoid all fights here in the forum. I hope that Leica reads here.

The Q2 is finally a camera I can love, it certainly exceeds my skills and cured my GAS.  I probably won't be able to explore and master all of its possibilities before a Q3 is a reality.

I’m happy with my Q2’s sensor, and it’s lens. If I need a longer length then I use my CL + 55-135 lens.

I am also pleased with Q2's sensor and lens. However, regardless of Q2 user happiness, Leica will have to launch a Q3.

Tri-Elmar Q with 28/35/50 would be nice, then skip all video features and add dedicated ISO wheel instead of LCD, and why not go directly to monochrome version 🙂

Edit: forgot to mention that I am happy with Q1 sensor...
