Updating Firmware on Q2M

I must be doing something wrong.  I have a new-to-me Q2M with Firmware V1.1 that I am trying to upgrade to V3.1.  I copied the downloaded update file to the root directory on a freshly formatted sd card but when I try to start the upgrade the camera tells me that it cannot fund an upgrade file... I have  tried three different SD cards.  Any advice?  I assume I am missing something simple?  do I need to put the file in the /DCIM or the /Private Directory?

Firmware 1.1 is the latest released for the Q2M. Firmware 3.1 is for the Q2.

Well I’m getting the same comment NO FIRMWARE ON SD CARD.  And this is 2.0 firmware update for Q2M.  Dragged the firmware update to the root directory on a freshly formatted card.  Any suggestions?

I am relatively new to Leica and this is only my second firmware update experience.  The firmware update (filename) and file size should be spelled out in the release information so that one can be sure to load the proper file from the computer directory.  It took a couple of tries before I finally scrolled down the page of instructions to find the correct firmware file.

Just updated my Q2M, guys please remember not to remove the lens during the update process!
