ZHNL Posted January 22, 2022 Share #41 Posted January 22, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Half press shutter lock exposure in EVF /LCD mode? Many times, you want lock exposure by holding shutter half way for stitch or two consecutive exposure. somehow M11 doesn't work consistently. It will lock for the first one but not after by holding shutter. I tried both in single mode or Continues low mode. I never have this problem before. This is not really a firmware will but a real problem given Leica give you no option to enable/disable half press shutter lock exposure. I assume it is default to enable. I welcome any comment on this.
Advertisement Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 Hi ZHNL, Take a look here M11 FIRMWARE UPDATE WISH LIST. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
M Journey Posted January 23, 2022 Share #42 Posted January 23, 2022 Would love to be able to set the customize wheel to more different functions (not the press in). Would love to set it to ISO and the press in as exposure compensation. I have it the other way around now but would love the option to go vice versa. I also wish the digital zoom could be set to different values also. Would love for a native 35 to be able to digizoom to 50 and 75.

ZHNL Posted January 26, 2022 Share #44 Posted January 26, 2022 Option to enable full LCD/EVF view instead of small box frames for digital crop mode. if no option and I can choose, this will be the one I want use for digital crop.
Mucklemore Posted January 26, 2022 Share #45 Posted January 26, 2022 Please eliminate the lag when auto zoom in photo assistance is enabled. On the M10 Models a small movement in focus activated it istantly, now there is a lag of about 1 sec.
SrMi Posted January 26, 2022 Share #46 Posted January 26, 2022 Add an option to abort long exposure without having to shut down the camera.
charlesphoto99 Posted January 26, 2022 Share #47 Posted January 26, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is probably more of a future hardware change, but it would be cool, if the shutter closed when changing lenses and the camera is still on. Not sure how they would do that in firmware, but a simple switch in the bayonet collar would. M12? And of course I realize it's best practice to shut off any digital camera when changing lenses but that just doesn't always happen.
oka Posted January 26, 2022 Share #48 Posted January 26, 2022 (edited) On my first photoshoot, on almost first bursts - camera froze. LCD showed the picture, even that I turned off the camera. Had to take the battery out and then I worked flawlessly rest of the photoshoot. I'm bit puzzled, M10's are notorious for lockups and freezes and now M11 exhibits from the start the same behavior. On M10, excuse was "incompatible" SD - now I shot without SD to internal memory, is M11 incompatible to own internal storage? 🤣 M10 had problems with electronics and firmware, I really hope it's this time only firmware issue. So I guess I never heard this.
robert irvin Posted January 27, 2022 Share #50 Posted January 27, 2022 I can't confirm but there was a Facebook post on the M11 group that there is a firmware update addressing the button situation.

Add 1/(3f) as a shutter speed limit in Auto ISO settings. That formula works perfectly for me and for many others and it stops driving IS unnecessarily high. Also, please make USB C Thunderbolt connection work between the camera and Fotos on an iPad. the WiFi connection is too slow for more than a handful of shots and if one has a suitable Thunderbolt cable in the bag, it can be used for charging and for data transfer, meaning one less thing to carry. USB-C is a funny standard and there are some cable that do power and some that do data and some that do both. I am using a USBC 3 apple thunderbolt cable that is highly specked for both and yet I can’t make a connection. I assume this is an MFI certified cable but if it isn’t, given that that there is a USBc to Lightening Leica cable provided with the camera, they should also provide or at least specify a USBC to USBC because frankly, are people more likely to want to transfer their images to their iPad or to their phone? Allow more than one letter to be customised in file name A proper RGB histogram please. It’s a serious camera and people want to work seriously with it. Finally: the splits between SD and internal storage have in some Leica Logic manner missed what many photographers consider the most useful option: DNG to SD card and JPEG to Internal, just in case…. DEFINITELY would appreciate this! DNG to SD card and JPEG to Internal
