I have one which is at leica as we speech for compete overhaul, the camera have been there soon for 5 mounts so hopefully it will arrive soon. The body is made from brass but the black chrome is plated on top of silver nickel plating, so any wear shows as silver first, and then eventually as brass. Love to see some well worn black chrome bodies. They will "brass" even harder than just a chrome one as long as you don't drop / scratch it.
