Goalasso Posted February 15, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 15, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good Day! Is it possible to tell if an image was taken in Macro mode vs. not from exif data? I am using Lightroom and do not see any indication. It would be nice to be able to identify that on my images. Thanks in advance.
Advertisement Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Hi Goalasso, Take a look here Exif Data To Identify if in Macro Mode?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Leica Guy Posted February 15, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 15, 2021 I looked in LR and I cannot see any indication in the metadata about being in macro mode. I also looked at my Canon macro images and there’s no indication of being in macro mode except the lens description says macro. Leica could append their lens description when in macro mode to include macro. My guess it would be a very low priority to add this, but it would be helpful. Good question. frame-it Posted February 15, 2021 Share #3 Posted February 15, 2021 macromagnification, macro, macromode are the exif tags , afaik almost all camera manufacturers include that data except leica..and its probably gonna be a crazy hex code anyways
