Dear forum family,

If anyone has one of these lens hoods (12466) and would like to sell it to me I would be very grateful!

Moderators, if I am not allowed to post this here please feel free to delete.

Thanks all!

Dustin

Hi Dustin,

I don't have a tulip-style 12466 hood for the 28/2 Summicron v1 to sell you but the Summicron has a 46 mm filter thread but this Haoge metal hood and cap might appeal to you if you can't find a 12466.

Pete.

This doesn’t look bad. If I can’t source the 12466 I may have a go with this one. Thanks!

What is Finn.no? I typed that in but got something non camera related.

finn.no is a norwegian eBay... with all sort of things. Choose ¨Torget¨ and write Leica in the search field, skim through and you should should soon find it.

I have one of these but was still tempted by this one due to the price...

Good luck!

Seems to be gone now... not surprisingly. But do a check yourself just in case...

I hope no one on here bought it because it isn’t actually a 12466. If you look closely at the pictures there are no tabs. It is a generic screw on metal hood falsely advertised as the 12466.

I had actually reached out to that seller a few days ago (shows up on USA eBay) and they verified my suspicion. I recommended to them that they change their listing to be more honest but they didn’t.

Fingers crossed no one on here bought it.

Hi and thanks a lot!

I am probably quite naive, but I am truly surprised that such scheme would show up at finn.no on Leica stuff. I should have seen the lack of the silver tabs myself though, but was also fooled by the quite original looking box...

I must have looked at the wrong example. The one I found on Finn.no did not have the box.

Hello everyone,

I didnt want to create a nwe post for this as you might be able to help me. I have just received my 12466, i bought it to be used on a Lieca 28 summicron, but the fit is extremly loose. THe teeth dont really stick to the lens and I can turn it all the way around?

Is this normal? isnt it very easy to loose or knock off? have you guys found a solution?

ERA23,

If your hood is genuine Leica something is wrong.

Your hood must fit and not loose.

Here you see two "prongs" ( out of more ) which must move when you push the tabs.

Spring loaded they fit in the lens's front groove.

Idea when it's a bit loose...

In my old hoods, when loose after some years of using, they become loose, I just put on them (the prongs) a bit of my wife's nail polish.

Sold mine a few months back for 4 figures in mint condition. Found it to be an unnecessary and expensive ornament for a lens. Use a Contax GG-1 screw in hood for the occasions needed. Much more compact.
