Thanks Helge. I really hope you'll get your Eurasian Lynx! I wasn't aware that they occur so far north.

Two nights after I took the image above, there was a whole lot of growling & roaring very near my tent. I followed up & found the same female mating with another male. You can see from his face & ears that it's a different male, this one's much older.

Female Leopards will mate with a number of males over the same time period, the theory is that by doing this, infanticide is reduced. With Lions Infanticide happens all the time, when a new male comes along he kills the cubs that were sired by the previous male, this brings the female Lion into oestrus & he can then mate with her. Female Leopards are clearly smarter & more promiscuous 😸?

They were in very thick bush,  SL2-S & Leica VE 90-280mm L @ 280mm ISO 12, 500

The SL2S and the 24-70 continues to impress me.  Initially I had a bit of buyers remorse - all of the "cool kids" are shooting with M bodies...but in the end its all about using what works for you and with my eyesight I need autofocus.  This being said, the SL sat on my desk for a while (the Q2M is my daily carry), but for a bit now I have forced myself to take it out on the street and it just works.  Every time I shoot with it I'm impressed with the colors and the rendering of the 24-70.  I would say to anyone who is hesitating to pick up the bundle, don't!

I shoot with my M10R most of the time, but I love my SL2 too. It’s a different tool, but also a very pleasurable shooting experience.

One of the best uses for my SL2 is shooting with my Noctilux 50mm f0.95. I can finally reliably focus wide open.

Bud James

Totally agree. When updating my Leica gear I realized the SL cameras can do everything and the viewfinders are wonderful for focusing and composing. My only worry was the weight but I found this wasn't a problem at all in practice and I hike  up to 6 hours at a stretch with mine. No regrets getting the SL2s bundle.Leica's current line up is all good, no matter which camera you choose but I think the SL series might be the best of all.

When I was young, the pensionier would sit on the bench and look into the distance.
