I used Gigapixel to increase the size of a Q2M image to 40 inches wide (101.6cm) and cannot see any loss of image quality at 100%/ This is a 100% crop from the 40 inch wide image,

It occurred to me that I should post the full frame image (of the cropped goose) - this is the full 40 inch (101.6cm) image - one second exposure

Both images are exquisite but the crop really shows the quality of the original image from that amazing little camera.

What was the width of the original image before using gigapixel?

The flow shown by a slow shutter really enhances the beauty of this image. What was your shutter speed? Tripod or hand held?

Looks like Meigs Point to me... nice shots.. The view from the top of this stairway is pleasant.

Uploaded this SOOC quarter sized crop NOT out of artistic merit or complaint but out of technical curiosity - recent thread(s) spoke of 'ugly flaring' which until now I had simply not noticed - my fault entirely I should've cranked down the base ISO from my normal winter gloom of 1600 to 200 or 400 - note the max electronic shutter 1/16000 and a manual f11 (previous shot was a macro of some manky spongy seaweed washed up on the beach) - in hindsight I would guess that the massive lighting overload transmitted to the sensor must've caused quite some fuss on a pixel-by-pixel size level - to reiterate this is NOT a complaint I'm just curious about the effect of my gross settings' mismanagement.

There have been discussions about this grid appearing when shooting directly into bright light. Some people have experienced it even with the M10M, although I have tried and failed to get it with mine.

27.893 inches at 300dpi. It is really nice at that size, but it and another one really need to be larger, which is why I tried 40 inches. The problem is, our walls are full now....

Looks like Meig's Point to me.   Nice shots.

It’s the Potomac river, above Great Falls. Winter has cooperated with some appropriately crummy weather, which I’ve come to believe is nature's gift to the Leica Monochrom cameras. And thanks!

It’s a beautiful shot with lovely tonal balance. You could try another crop that starts just to the left of the rock in the center and crops horizontally just underneath it - sort of largish top right hand corner crop.

Moment of Zen. Q2M w/B+W light red filter.

I previously thought it was harder to get a dark sky with a monochrome sensor than I remember it being on film, but turns out the skies I was shooting just weren't blue enough. No dehaze, etc. enhancement applied to the sky here. Location was about 6K' elevation on a clear day.

Yes that is where we were.  Unfortunately I have to return this beautiful little camera today.  Loved my time with it.

I have to say I really loved this camera.  Had to send it back today as my rental period was over.  It was a fun camera to use.

Most shops will apply your rental fee toward the purchase of a new camera. Just sayin'. 😉
